MINUTES OF LAIQDMARKS COMMISSION <br />MEETING OF NOVEMBER 15, 1984 <br />Present: Chairman Marlene Orzechowski, Betty Lord, Lois Van Auken, <br />Gloria Sell, Julia Brown <br />Meeting was called to order by Chairman Marlene Orzechowski at 8:15 p.m. <br />Minutes of the October.l8, 1984 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />Correspondence: Facade 24, Preservation News <br />Archives: Three file cabinets with locks repaired are available to <br />us now. Will request they be cleaned out and placed.in our room. <br />Photographs: Order has been placed with Mr. Dietrich. It is hoped <br />these will be received with no further delay. <br />Secretary: Several persons were discussed for this position. Don <br />Copeland has suggested a person to Marlene Orzechowski, Also Sharon <br />Fleming (Gloria Sell to secure resume from her), and Marlene will <br />check furtner with the lady she haci previously talked with. <br />Equipment: A good typewriter will be needed by the secretary as well <br />as the cIistoric Research Intern to complete all the necessary paper work. <br />After considerable discussion a motion was made by Betty Lord, seconded <br />by Gioria Sell that the Landmarks Commission purchase a fully-serviced <br />long carriage typewriter not to exceed $400.00, with four extra ribbons. <br />Motion was unanimously approved. Julia Brown will follow through on <br />this matter. <br />Town Hall: Marlene Orzechowski reported she was in receipt of a letter <br />from Mr. Serne to the effect that Town Hall is not unsafe. <br />Marlene also reported that the Building Department would keep this <br />commission informed with regard to the Flagner house. There nave been <br />some people showing an interest in it. <br />H.B.R.P.: Betty Lord reported Gloria Sell, Sharon Fleming and she met <br />and together reviewed tne 11 applications received. They are recommend- <br />ing approval of all 11 submitted. Rd. 1875 Freed <br /> <br />Motion was made <br />by Betty , <br />Lord, <br />seconded by <br />Lois Van Auken that these 11 <br />homes be accepted in our H.B.R .P. program and unanimously approved. Date <br />strips will be ordered from Champion Ornamental Castings for these plaques. <br />- 1 -
