MINUTES OF LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />MEETING OF MAY 19, 1983 <br />Present: Chairman Betty Lord, Marlene Orzechowski, Dale Wunderle, Dwayne <br />Woerpel, Julia Brown <br />Also present;.._.Mayor Swietyniowski,.Service Director Corrigan, Council <br />President Boehmer & Yvonne Petrigac, Chairman. Long Range <br />Planning Committee of Council <br />Meeting was called to order by Chairman Betty Lord at 8:30 p.m. Minutes <br />of the April 21, 1983, meeting were approved as presented. <br />Betty Lord announced first that council had passed ordinance permitting the <br />Landmarks Commission to apply for matching grant funding. Marlene Orzechowski <br />has been extremely busy compiling necessary data, photographs, etc. for the <br />grant application; deadline for which is June 1, 1983a <br />Correspondence: 1) Letter from North Olmsted Bicentennial Commission, 2) <br />letter f rom Beverle Martindale, 3) Letter f rom John Cimperman re Ohio <br />Association of Historic Preservation Commission. Conference in Cincinnati <br />on May 24-28, 1983, 4) Preservation News; 5) Information from Smith-Cornell. <br />Town Hall: Members spent greater part of the meeting evaluating material <br />received from a number of architects. After tally was taken the two rating <br />the highest were Robert C.. Gaede and R. Van Petten. Motion was made by <br />Dale Wunderle that we-invite these two men to our next regular meeting <br />date. If they are not interested then the next two would be contacted. <br />Motion was seconded by Marlene Orzechowski. All were in favor. <br />At this point in the meeting we were joined by Yvonne Petrigac, Chairman <br />of the Long Range Planning Committee of Council, Mayor Swietyniowski, Service <br />Director Corrigan and Council President Boehmer. This was a general dis- <br />cussion period regarding all aspects of the Town Hall rehab program from <br />the needs of the community brought out at the April 14 meeting, architectural <br />consultant, Landmark recommendations and matching grant application. <br />Site Marker: At this time Mr. Corrigan informed members the Butternut <br />Cemetery site marker was recently damaged and was at the Service Depart- <br />ment in the park.
