MINUTES OF LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />A7EETING OF JUNE 20, 1983 <br />Present: Chairman Betty Lord, Marlene Orzechowski, Dale Wunderle, <br />Robert Hunter, Lois Van Auken, Dwayne Woerpel9 Julia Brown <br />Also Present: R. Van Petten <br />Pur.pose,`of this meeting was the presentation by Mr. R. Van Petten <br />at 7:30 p.m. This was in form of a slide presentation, with questions <br />and answers followingo <br />General meeting was called to order by Chairman Betty Lord at 8:40 <br />p.m. <br />Correspondence: Ohio Historic Preservation Office acknowleding receipt <br />of grant app;lication. Results should be_; forthcoming by June 30th. <br />H.B.R.P. Lang barn still must be researched. Does not appear Landmarks <br />Commission will have a CETA worker this summer. <br />Site Marker: Dale Wunderle moved that we require the Butternut Cemetery <br />site marker be r__? r , seconded by Marlene Orzechowski, and was <br />unanimously passed. We have not heard from Service Director Corrigan <br />regarding the accident report. <br />Town Hall Rehab. Robert Hunter moved that the Landmarks Commission <br />recommend the mayor enter into an agreement with Robert C. Gaede as <br />the architectural consultant for the resbration and rehabilitation of <br />Town Hall, seconded by Dale Wunderle and unanimously approved. <br />Betty Lord will call Mayor Swietyniowski regarding this recom- <br />mendation with a letter to follow, copy to Yvonne Petrigac, Chairman <br />of the Long Range Planning Committee of Council. <br />The Commission feels there must be a basic restoration master <br />plan to include: <br />l. Preliminary study of necessary improvements, <br />interior and exterior <br />2. Ramp and restrooms <br />3. Design for interior, following recommended:-guidelines <br />by Landmarks <br />4. Landscaping <br />5. Survey of existing conditions and recommendations for <br />site, exteaor and interior changes <br />It is the consensus that from negotiations on, the Landmarks Commission <br />would like to be invoved in all phases of planning and implementation, <br />as well as the Long Range Planning Committee of Council. <br />Meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m, <br />Julia K.
