<br />1 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - FEBRUARY 16, 1983 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Present: M. Case, J. Cavaluchi, and S. Ebin <br />Absent: R. Mongello <br />Also Present: B. Oring, Recording Secretary <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />S. Ebin moved to approve the Minutes of January 19, 1983 as presented, <br />seconded by J. Cavaluchi,and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />(a) Dynamic Hair Design (Astrup Awning Co.), 23790 Lorain Rd. <br />Projecting sign (extending at right angles from building) <br />and side entrance sign. <br />Mr. McCann of Astrup explained that these would be plum colored <br />awningswith 7" letters over the front entrance and side door. <br />There will be no posts; awnings.will be suspended from building. <br />S. Ebin moved to approve both canopies and the signage connected <br />with it as submitted, seconded by M. Case, and unanimously <br />approved. <br />(b) Medical Emergency Doctors' Center (R. Kohanski), Lorain Rd. <br />(east of Ponderosa Steak House) <br />Ground sign <br />Mr. Kohanski explained that the gro.und sign would be on a 1' <br />high brick base. The sign will be lexan, internally illuminated <br />with opaque gray background: and translucent blue letters with <br />a white border. S. Ebin moved to approve the ground sign, secon- <br />ded by J. Cavaluchi, and unanimously approved. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />(a) Medical Emergency Doctors' Center (R. Kohanski), Lorain Rd. <br />.(east of Ponderosa Steak House) <br />Proposal to construct emergency care facility and medical office <br />building. <br />Building plans and sign continued from January 19th meeting. <br />Landscape and site plans approved. <br />Mr. Kohanski advised that a ground transformer has now been
