CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED
ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW
SPECIAL MEETING
MINUTES - JUNE 8, 1981
I. ROLL CALL:
Chairiaoman Case called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m.
Present: M. Case, R. Parry, and R. Mongello
Also Present: Recording Secretary B. Oring
II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION:.:OF MINUTES:
No Minutes were reviewed at thts meeting
III. Signs:
(a) Milton's Family Restaurant, 26324 Lorain Rd.
2 wall signs and 1 pole sign
There was a question about the location of the pole
sign. According to the Building Department records, the
pole of the sign conforms to the Ordinance, but the
sign itself is non-conforming. The sign can be set
back on the pole so it will conform.
R. Mongello moved to approve the 2 wall signs and 1
pole sign with the condition that they be made of Lexon
or its equivalent, seconded by R. Parry, and unanimously •
approved.
IV. NEW BUSINESS:_
Milton's Family Restaurant, 26324 Lorain Rd.
This proposal is to enclose an existing side porch to expand
the indoor eating area. The front wall will be brick to match
the existing. The entire roof will be repainted. It was sug-
gested that the brick wall be extended up on the front so. that
the shed roof is not visible from the front elevation. The
existing metal roof must be prepared properly to prevent the
paint from pealing. The mechanical equipment will not be changed.
The parking spaces are sufficient.
R. Parry moved to approve the renovations with the following
suggested changes:
l. Extend the new facing brick on the south elevation up to the
bottom of the existing mansard and not to have the metal
shed roof exposed on the south elevation but leave the metal
sloping roof on the length of the building on the west elevation.
