Remmel, J. Fairfield, L. Horvath, <br />E. DeVoto. <br />Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner <br />E. Gundy, Councilman R. Wilamosky, and Recording <br />Secretary B. Oring. <br />P2r. Horvath move d to accept the min utes of January 3, 1979, <br />seconded by Mr. DeVoto and tmanimously approved. <br />,/1. Don Williams, 23062 MacBeth Ave. Request for variance (1133m13). <br />Request 5' foot variance for privacy screen. Violation of Ordinance <br />62-33 Section 1151.04. _ <br />Chairman Ledvina requested that all interested persons appear before <br />the board. The oath was administered. Mr. Ledvina asked for <br />clarification of the height allowed for a privacy screen. Building <br />Commissioner Gundy stated that a 6 foot privacy screen is allowed <br />by Ordinance. The request is for a 9 foot p rivacy screen, and since <br />the original request was for a 5 foot variance, Chairman Ledvina <br />asked that the record show that only a 3 foot variance was needed. <br />The privacy screen is 9' x 4'. Mr. Horvath moved to grant the <br />request for a 3' variance for a privacy screen, seconded by <br />Mrm Fairfield and unanimously approved. Request granted. <br />f 2. George M. and Ainy J. Anter, 3139 West 230th St. Request for <br />variance (1133.13). Request 1 foot variance for fence. Violation <br />of Ordinance 62-33 Section 1151.04. <br />Chai rman Ledvina called all interested parties before the board. <br />The oath was administered. After a short discussion as to whether <br />a 5 foot fence afforded more security than a 4 foot fence, <br />Mre Fairfield moved to deny the 1 foot variance, seconded by <br />Mr. Remmel and tmanimousl_y approved. Request denied. <br />,/ 3. Rad Air Service Center, 24260 Lorain Rd. Req uest for variance <br />(1133.13). Request to exceed maximum area for pole sign. Vio- <br />lation of Ord. 62-33 section 1225.02 (2). <br />Chairman Ledvina called all interested parties before the board. <br />The bath was administered. Mr. Bird of Rad Air Service Center <br />explained that the pole sign with the trailer was 66 sq. ft. <br />He was asking for a 16 sq, ft, variance. Mr. Fairfield suggested <br />that the main part of the sign could easily be made smaller to <br />allow for the trailer and still stay within the 50 sq. ft. allowed. <br />Discussion ensued, Mr. DeVoto moved to deny the request for the
