Zord9 Albright, Orzechowski_, Petrigac., Van AUken., Patton, SchectPr arxi Bro-=. <br />` Absent: Logan. <br />Mirnztes of the I4arch 2nd mee-ting correct,ed to read "S 380. -,$400." (cost of <br />a plaqwe for site description from Ohio Historical Society). Page 2 of minu-tes. <br />Pat Patton advised the needs and goals of this CoTrmi.ssion had been presented <br />at the Monday, March 6th., Community Development Block Grant meeting, and necessary <br />taritten form submitted outlining ovr program. Copy on record. He also mentioned <br />it may be possible for us to utilize the services of young people through the <br />Szmmer Youth Program and the Department of Huma.n Resources. <br />Betty Lord read a let-ter from Don Copeland dated Ma.rch 1 requesting information <br />concerning the Corrmnznity Cabin,.its present strncture and usage with the proposed <br />Senior Center. It wa.s the consensus that they should continue with the same style <br />and building materials as the present structUre. Letter to be sent to that effect. <br />Julie Brown advised Planning Commission had taken no action at their March 714 <br />meeting as to their opini.on or recotrm?enda,tion of City Hall being designated a la.nd- <br />marko It was felt that a.fter Law Director Gaxean attends the rlarch 30th meeting <br />with the Landmarks Comtdssion he wri.ll be able to advise the proper procedUre to be <br />followed by all parties involved. <br />Mamie Albright distributed a tenta.tive list of "sites" for plarn»ng. Three <br />items most importa.nt: 1) Butternut Ridge, 2) Coe Ridge, 3) lst log cabin school on <br />SteaY°ns proper-ty, <br />Lois Van AZaken and Betty Lord ha.ve compiled a list of historic homes and <br />wi11 be availa,ble at a la.ter date. <br />S•teve Schecter wi11 check with a foundry to get a quota-tion for a sign measvr- <br />ing 12" x 18" for landmark designa.tion. Ju1ie Brown said she would also try to get <br />a quote from another source. , <br />Chaisman Lord urged members to attend the Maxch 22nd meeting at N. 0. Library <br />to hear I?h?, Eric Johannsen of the Ohio Historical Societya She also irzformed us <br />she had been asked and has agreed to speak at this meeting, presenting our three- <br />prong approach. <br />Yarlene Orzechotrki read a sample letter to be sent to schools regarding the <br />Seal Contest.* This will be held in abeyance until Communit,y Council releases this <br />project from their agenda. This may ta.ke place at theis meeting March 28th. <br />Vonnie Petrigac reported the Landmarks Comtrv.ssion budget had been gresented <br />to the Finance Comrrittee for consideration, <br />The next meeting will be March 30' 1978, at 8:00 p.m., City Hall.
