Betty brought us <br />up 'uo date on meeting she and Zois Van Auken had uith covncil. menbers prior to <br />Council meting last 1"uesday and the go-ahead from them on the 6ity Seal. Dis- <br />cussion followed, and the purpose of this special meoting - namely the Mayorts <br />letter of July 69 19789 requesting Landmarks to consider the elesign of a seal <br />submitted by John Viaisfield... Purther d.iscussion folloired on the Seal design. <br />Vonnie Moved we amend the seal that was presented to Council to incorporate 3 pa.z'ts - <br />log cabin, City Hall and oxcart - tak:ing out "Fovnded«, leaving 1815 and enlaxging <br />the outline of the city. This was seconded vy Harrri..e Albright and motion carried. <br />Vonnie Petrigac inoved that Kay Becker incorporate the ideas we discussed this evening <br />into three or four drawings and subrdt them to. our Chairman in time for consideration <br />by Council on Ta.esday9 July 18th; seconded by Jim Zogan and carried._ <br />Special meeting may be called Sunday to go over tllese drawings. Jin Logan moved <br />that if a special meeting is called, we then dispense with the regularly scheduled <br />meeting next `rhursday, July 20th.
