City of North 0lmsted <br />BOARD OF ZONING APrEAIS <br />January 8, 1975 <br />Chairman Hamill called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: Chairman Hami11, Riessrs. Duskey, Ledvina and Tubbs <br />Also present: E. Gundy, Building Commiesioner, M. Gareau, Law Director <br />and U. Hodgins, Recording Secretary. <br />The fixst order of business for the evening was election of officers for 1975• <br />Mr. Tubbs nominated Mr. Ledvina chairman and Mro Duskey vice chairman. <br />Mr. Hamill seconded the motion. Vote was takene All present voted aye. <br />Mr. Tubbs thanked Mr. Hamill for his good job of 1974. Chr. Ledvina then presided. <br />Continuance of request of Robert M. and Donna J. Herrlich, 23311 Lorain <br />Rd, Apto #119. Request for variance for corner of Decker Rd. and South- <br />ern Ave. Request for variance (1133.13)• Request for 82 ft. side yard <br />variancs on corner lot. Violation of Ord. 62-33 Section 1161.01. <br />Present: Nlra and Mrs. Herrlich, Mr. ktillard Augustine and neighborsa <br />Case was read and witnesses were administered the oath. <br />House planned is to face Southern Ave. and wi11 have 5 ft. <br />rear yard. Variance requested is for front yard. Location <br />is B zoningm Picture of proposed home and sketch of its pro- <br />posed location were shown. Long discussion followed with ob- <br />jections voiced by neighbors. Proposed house is of equal <br />value of neighboring homes. Mr. Tubbs moved to deny the re- <br />questo Mr. Hamill seconded and motion passed. Request denied. <br />Mayor Chris°tman came forward at this time and administered the oath of office <br />to Mr. Hamill. <br />5. Ronald W. Glasco, 6136 Croton Dr. Request for variance (1133•13). Request <br />for variance to erect existing tool shed. Violation of Ord. 62-33 Section <br />1161.04. <br />Presente Mro and Mrss Glasco, Mr. Zeuch, Mrs. Hamill, T7r. Schulte, Mr. Freeh. <br />Case was read and witnesses, including Mr. Hamill, were administered <br />the oath. Majority of Board members have seen the tool shed. Com- <br />ment was made that it sticks out noticeably. Notice should have read <br />'tspecial permission°P instead of "variance«. Law Director Gareau <br />said case can be heard in spite of the misnomer. Lot in question is <br />145 ft. and 170 ft. on sides and 79 ft. and 70 ft. front and rear. <br />Properties in area are ver,y close. Suggestions were made for plac- <br />ing tool shed on slab, landscaping or surrounding with a fence, or <br />attaching to house. Nira Tubbs expained detriment to neighborhood. <br />Mr. Duskey moved to.deny request. Pse Tubbs secanded the motion. <br />Recycled Bond - One etep to eave oui envixonment
