: <br />i <br />PLANNING COMMISSION . <br />February 11, 1975 <br />I, Ro7.l Call <br />Vice Chairman Tischler called the meeting to order at 8e05 p•mm <br />Mr. E1liott, Acting vecretary, called the rollm Those prasent <br />were: Messrs. Tischler, E1liott, Roberts and Freeh. <br />Also present; Building Commissioner Gundy? Law Director Gareau <br />and Recording Secretary Hodgins. <br />II. Reading and Correction of Minutes <br />Minutes of January 28, 1975 are to be corrected as follows: <br />Doraty Olds should be Big 0. <br />Item ZII. (a) (1) word shouZd be changed from "retained" to "maintained" <br />Item IIIo (b) (1) Bauer changed to Bower <br />III. Building Department <br />? (a) Old Requests <br />(1) Modern Homes - Commercial Building, west side of Dover <br />Center Rd., abutting Convenient Food Store on north <br />Mr. Gundy reintroduced the Building Department request for <br />Modern Homeso Mr. Schwarzer, developer and applicant in this <br />project, was presento Nir. Gundy mentioned there should be <br />a subdivision combining tvao lots. There are 34 parking <br />spaces for existing stores. There will be 59 parking spaces <br />for 9,000 square feet of store area. Storm sewer easement, <br />through the property and serving the nursing home and Mural <br />and Son houses, expired April, 1972• Safety Director Carna- <br />han sees no traffic probl.em; feels changes will be an impro- <br />vement. The lot next door, on north, is residential and is <br />70 ft. wideo Nro Elliott moved to approve with proper li- <br />cense agreement to protect all parties' drainage and provi- <br />sion for adeguate traffic control signs acceptable to Safe- <br />ty Director; also provision for rut to be filled. Mr.Freeh <br />seconded the motion. Further discu5sion ensued regarding <br />buffer. S,hrubs are to be added to those existing. Motion <br />passed, <br />(2) Christ the King Lutheran Church Sanctuary and parking addi-- <br />? tion - Charles and Lorain Rd. <br />Mr. Gundy reported on Mr. McIlermott's report. The engineer <br />had examined the area and feels there is no problem, however, <br />he will have them provide retention basin. Provision is <br />made in plan for 225 car parking area to accommodate 900
