MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE PLANNING COAZiISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OIkiSTED, OHIO HELD AT $:00 P. M. <br />DECEMBER lk, 1954. <br />--? <br /> <br />r <br />Present were Messrs. Votava., Lewis, Esgare Eu].ler. Mr. Bittel was absent. <br />Nir. Valentine Rebro wrote a letter° asking that a sub-division be approved that <br />would allow a 301 right-of-way for a future streeto A motion was made by Dr. <br />Lewis and seconded byMr. Euller that a letter be written to Mr. Rebro stating <br />that rabnimum street widths in North Olmsted are 50e wide. Motion was passedo <br />A sub-division for Mr. Dan Benuska, opening up one more 811 lot on West <br />Ranchview Avezlue9 was-approved. <br />The Gulf Refining Compan,y submitted a letter requesting permission to build a <br />gasoline station at the corner of Lorain Road and Olmsted Court. Mr. Esgar <br />made a motion that a letter be written to the Gulf Company, stating that <br />according to bur zoning ordinance, the statiora can be built i.f approval is <br />granted by the Zoning Board of Appeals. Motion was passed. ' • <br />Mr. Pohnex° requested a sub-division that adds two 801 lots on Rainbow Drive <br />(a private drive in the valley of Rocky River adjacent to Olmsted Township). <br />The sub-division was approved. <br />Mr. Stanley Hamm requested sub-division of a lot 280' x 1501 irito four 7p x 150" <br />lots on the west side of Stearns R.oad, just south of Lorain Road. The land is <br />presently owned by Mro S. Sasoo The sub-division wa's approved. <br />Mr. Vincent J. Marotta requested sub-division of property on the north side of <br />Butternut Ridge Rd, east of Dover Road into two lots, one 72.751 wide and the <br />other 110.231 wide. Submdivision was approved. <br />Mr. Fz°anklyn Yehlik submitted the Olmsted Farms Sub-division for approvalo A <br />motion was made by Dr. Lewis and seconded by Mr. Euller that the Planning Commi.ssion <br />recommend that City Coun'til accept the sub-division. The motion was passed. <br />The North 0]rnsted Estates has requested that the size of lots 35 and 36 be changed, <br />so that lot 35 will be 60' wide and lot 36, 770 Wide, Sub-division was approved. <br />The regular Planning Commission meeting was adjourned at 9c15 P. M. and a joint <br />meeting was held with the City Council cor?cerxai.ng a sewage plan for North Olmsted. <br />City Council members px°esent were Messrs. Kramer, Knapp, Crider, Decker, BakerP <br />Engineer Dean., Auditor Christman, Zaw virectox° Kitson were also presente <br />A general diseussion was held coneerning the. relatiwe advantages and disadvaaztages <br />of small sevrage disposal plaratse There was no agx°eement amont those present. There <br />was oppositiota by some to the use of a nuinber of package plaxitso There is still <br />some indication that Noxth Olmsted can tie into the Rocicy River plant. Some <br />consideration was also given to the possibility of building a plant at Shepherd°s <br />Hill. It was decided to delay any decision untiZ the outcome of the Rocky River <br />plant is determined. If North Olmsted can go i.nto the Rocky River plant, the <br />ax <br />consensus of opinion was that the package plaxits would not be permittedo <br />-Meeting adjourned at 10:45 P.
