Votava, Esgar, Euller, Hannane Dr. Lewis was absent. <br />Law Director Kitson was also present. <br />Mr. Frank Furin requested sub-division of a 140 ft. lot into two 70 ft. lots on <br />Root Road. The sub-division was approved. <br />Mr. Carl Bower requested that a lot 147.58 x 152.5 ft. on the northeast corner <br />of Beech Lane and Walter H,oads be sub-divided into a 60 x 152.5 ft. and a <br />$7.5$ x 152.5 ft. lots. The' sub-d"ivision was approved. <br />A petition was presented to the Planning Comm:i.ssion requesting that property <br />fronting on the north side of Lorain Road, west of Silverdale be rezoned to <br />retail business. This area includes a.pproxilmately 2,000 feet of frontage. <br />The persons sign.ing the petitiori ovrn 535 feet of frontage an the eastern end <br />of the subject area. NTr. Luller made a motion that was seconded by Mro Hannan, <br />that the ilanning Commission not recommend rezoning the subject area for retail <br />business because it would be spot zoning to rezon_e the area owned by the <br />petitioners, as their area is removed from any area presently zoned for retail <br />business. Motion passed unariimouslya <br />p motion was made by Nr. Hannan and seconded by hir. Euller that the Planning <br />reo1uest that City Council stop consideration of rezoning the area adjacent to <br />the proposed Brookpark extension, east of Columbia Road, to multiple residence, <br />so that the Planning Commission can study a number of changes to the zoning <br />ordinance for future presentativn to City Council.
