MINUTES OF A MEETIIJG OF THE PLANNING COM4ISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, HELD AT 8:00 P.M. <br />SEPTEMBER 24, 1957 <br />Members present were Messrs.a Votavap Grunuzey, Lewis, Hannan? and <br />Esgar. <br />z "; <br />4r. Grutnney made a motion that was seconded by Mr. Votava, that the <br />?4 <br />Planning Commission Secretary should write a letter to Mr. Eugene H. <br />Mahler stating that unless he or his agent appears at the next City <br />Council meeting, October l, 1957, showing that financing has been <br />arranged for improvement of Mahlsr Drive (proposed), the Planning <br />Commission wil.l rescind its approval of the plat of the E. H. ancl G. <br />M. Mahler, Subdivision at the next Planning Commission on Octobet° $, <br />1957. Motion passede <br />Dr. Lewis made a motion that hereafter the Planning Conunissian will <br />instruct developers presenting plats for approval of the Planning <br />Commission that unless they appear before North Olmsted City Couricil <br />wi.thin 60 days after plat approval by the Planning Commission requesting <br />that City Council approve the plat for either record or dedication, the <br />Planni.ng Commission will rescind its approval. Motion was seconded by <br />Mr. Hannan. Motion passed. <br />Mr. Esgar made a motion that the Planning Commission recommend to City <br />Council that they pass on an ordinance requiring a building set-back <br />of 150 feet from the centerline (common to original lot lines 4, 5, 12, <br />- 13, and 21) of Brookpark Road on lots fronting on Brookpark Road from <br />Porter Road to the westerly City line, and further that City Counci7, <br />acquire land for this street (100 feet wide, whex°ever possible. Said <br />set-back would per,nit a future dual highway sianilar to the present <br />Brookpark limited access highway. The motion was not seconded. <br />Mr. Votava ma,de a motion that a recommendation be made to City Council <br />that a 100 ft, right-of-way for Brookpark Road extension be protected <br />from Porter Road to the westerly City line by requiring that any person <br />requesting a building permit for property facing on Brookparlt Road <br />give the City a quit claim deed for 50 feet of land (wher°e requi.red to <br />made a 100 ft. stx°eet) along the width of his property, and further <br />that the building set0back on said street be 100 ft. from the street <br />line to pexmit possible future widening of the street.
