The meeting was called to order <br />at 8:00 p.m. by Chairman Sipee Roll cal"1 ivas taken. <br />Presant: Mr• Si_~e, Mr. Grumney, I4rs Barnes, Mayor Gaxeau9 P-Sr• Taylor. <br />Also attendino: Solicitor Oviatt, Building Commissi.oner Gundy. Minutes of the meeting of March 24th viere read by Secretary Grumney. <br />Motion for appi=oval vras made by Mayor Gareau and seconded by PiTx. The Building <br />Commi.ssioner was asked if he encountered any "stumbling blocks" when he tried <br />to enforce the code. If so, when revising the code, the commission viould <br />try to eliminate such weaknesseso <br />One case tivas discussed illustra.ting the confliction of interpetation of., <br />"non-conforming" uses. r,s • Lut z, of Clague Reality,- appeared before the conmi.ssion 'and asked that <br />property on ?Nhitethorr_ be rezoned from residential to commercial. <br />The property involved consists of tvro adjoining 50 x_170 foot 1ots, fronting <br />on the south side of Whitethorn, next to Andruso <br />Mr. Lutz has a client, The General T3re Co, v'no is interested in buying <br />this property, provided: it is rezoned for commercial use. They propose to <br />build a General Tire Store Vrhich would be a one story, 400 square foot, cement <br />block building. <br />hrTre Lutz was advised to cont,act residents in the imedia.te neighborhood, <br />get -their opinions (pros and cons) in tivriting and reappear. <br />mr. Wm. Serne, 23865 Adastick Rd., appeaxed before the conmi.ssion with this <br />prob:Lem: _ <br />Mr - Serne's house is located approxima.tely 900 feet from Piastick Hoad. He <br />viishes to obtain a uuch shor-Eer access to his property by acquiring a certain <br />parcol of land adjacent -Eo his and bounding on the Parklane turn-around.
