? <br />MINUTES OF A MEETING OF PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />June 14, 1960 <br />Present: Joseph P. Kadylak, Richard Mongello, Ballard W. Vincent, , <br />and Thomas Biadas <br />Absent: Thomas,J. Doran and anthony T. LaPonza <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:25 P.M. by Chairman Kadylak. <br />The minutes of the meeting of May 24th, 1960, were read by <br />Secretary Mongello. • <br />Due to the delay as outlined in the letter received from Regional <br />Planning concerning rezoning of Brookpark Rd. east of the shopping <br />center, the Regional Planning Commission has requested an extension <br />, of three (3) or four (4) weeks to compile their preliminary find-. <br />ings for North Olmsted. This letter was read to the Commission <br />by Mr. Kadvlak. <br />A letter was read by Mr. Kadylak from the Recreation Commission in <br />which they suggested an additional charge of $10 or a rider of 1/ <br />on building permits be put into effect. In the discussion which <br />' followed, Mr. Vincent brought up the question of who would control <br />this money and whether this plan was feasible. Mr. Kanareff suggested <br />that this might pertain only to mulitple dwellings and apartments. <br />A letter was sent to Mr. Oviatt requesting his presence at the <br />next Planning Commission Meeting to give legal advice on this <br />question. <br />A letter from the U. S. Post Office of North Olmsted was read, this <br />in regard to what plans were made for the growing needs for a larger <br />post office. The secretary will see that the Board of Education and <br />' the North Olmsted Post Office receives a copy of the minutes of <br />the Planning Commission meetingsm <br />Mr. Maheu of Maher Land, Inc., submitted a proposal to extend <br />multiple dwelling zoning approximately 500 feet beyond the existing <br />zoned land on Walter Rd. His development would consist of $ apart- <br />ment buildings, 58 suites (48-1-bedroom suites and 10-2-bedroom <br />suites). The estimated cost of this development is about $700,000 <br />to 750,00. Mr. Mongello read a letter from Mrs. Wissman, a pro- <br />perty owner, who is against this zoning. Mr. Mongello made a <br />motion, seconded by Mr. Vincent, and Mr. Biadas, working in con- <br />junction with the city engineer, for a period of 2 weeks. <br />? <br />L I
