MINVTES OF A MEETING OF THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION - CITY OF 1VORTH OLMSTED <br />July 12, 1960 <br />Present; Joseph P. Kadylak, Richard Mongello, Thomas Doran, Ball-ard W. Vincent, <br />and Anthony T. LaPonza. <br />Absent: Thomas Biadas <br />The me2ting was called to order at 8:15 P. M., by Joseph Kadylak, Chairman. <br />The minutes of the meeting of June 28th, 1960 were read by Secretary Mongello <br />and approved. MAHER LAND, INC. <br />Mr. Jacquet, of Alaher Land, Ince, presented his plans to the Planning Commission. <br />(See minutes of June 14, 1960) He felt that this development would improve the <br />City of North Olmsted. A motion was made by Mr. Vincent, seconded by Mr. LaPonza, <br />Council be requested to rezone land as per specifications on their plat p].an to <br />multiple dwelling. The Planning Commission feels that this area is land-locked, <br />and'they feel that it would improve the situation to have this area developed. <br />"Yeas" LaPonza, Vincent, Doran, Mongello, Kadylalc. <br />COMFORT STATION - North Olmsted Park <br />Plans wera submitted to the Planning Commission by Mr. Barnes, Service Director <br />of North Olmsiced, for a relief station in North Olmsted Parkm After surveillance <br />by Richard Mongello, he feels that the architecture does not fit in with the <br />future plans for the City of North Olmsted. Mr. Mongello feels that he would <br />like to loolc deeper into this and will have a comment on this at the next meeting. <br />Mr. ZaPonza feels that it does not f it in with the mode of thinlcing of the <br />Planning Commission. The Planning Commission feels that the tloor plans are <br />acceptable, but the architecture is not. A motion was made by Mr. Mongello, <br />seconded by Mr. LaPonza, not to accept these plans, "Yeas" Mongello, LaPonza, <br />Doran. Mr. Vincent and Mre Kadylak refrained from voting on this issue. <br />Mr. Barnes felt that this was a suitablL building to put into the Park. <br />Several issues were brought up with the Planning Commission, Solicitor Oviatt, <br />and members of tha Council Plats Committee as follows: <br />An issue concerning the rezoning of Lorain Road. The feelings of the Planning <br />Commission concerning this matter were as follows: <br />That the land beyond the 500 ft. depth under consideration for <br />rezoning, be held in abeyance until the Regional Planning <br />Commission submits their plans for that area; however, that <br />Lorain Road be rezoned from Multiple Dwelling to Retail <br />Business to a 500 ft, depth in that area. CThe proposed <br />rezoning is bordered by Loriain Road, Brookpark Road, Columbia <br />Road, and Fleharty.
