. <br />? <br />• <br />(f i?? ?f CNM4 (mzttsteb, m4xa <br />??..?.. <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />HELD AT THE CITY HALL JANUARY 10, 1961 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:50 P.M. <br />Members present: Edward Byers, William Greene, Willard Klinite, Lloyd Morgan, <br />and Marvin Smith. <br />Members absent; None <br />Also present: Ernest Gundy, Build6ng Commissioner; Clarence Oviatt, City Solicitor <br />This was a special meeting for fihe continuance of the public hear6ng of December 27, <br />1960, regarding the appeat of fihe Empire Spring Company of E•lyria, Ohio. <br />Marvin Smith was officially sworn in as a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals by <br />the Mayor. <br />A short organizational meeting was held and the fol)owing officers were elected by <br />the Board for the current year: , <br />Chairman: Willard Klinite - Nominated by Mr. Greene, seconded by Mr. Morgan <br />and unanimously elected. <br />Vice Cha$rman: YJilliam Greene - Nominated by Mr. Morgan, seconded by <br />Mr. Byers, and unanimously elected. <br />Secrefiary: Lloyd PAorgan - Nominated by Mr. 6yers, seconded by Mr. Greene, <br />and unanimously elected. <br />The m3nutes of the regular meeting of January 3, 1961, and the spectal meeting of <br />December 27, 1960, were read and approxed. <br />1. Appeltant: Mickev Auto Parts, Michael Carr, Representinq - 27709 Lorain Road <br />North Olmsted, Ohio <br />The appellant requesfied permission to erect a plastic sign hanging approximately <br />2 feet over pubtic property at the southwest corner of Lorain and Butternut Ridge <br />Roads. A letter confirming the request written by the Elyria Sign Company was <br />presented. No record of the previous request was produced by the Board. <br />It was moved by Mr. Morgan and seconded by Mr. Greene that tMe variance be granted. <br />The motion was unanimously approved. 2. Appeltant: Carol A. Greenavood - 5600 Columbia Road <br />North Olmsted, Ohio <br />The appellant requested permission to erect fiwo pqst ]ights, one at either side of <br />the driveway, and an awning on the rear of the store. <br />The members of the Board met at 5600 Columbia Road at 7 p.m. and inspected the <br />property.
