P.lanning .C.ommission Nleeting <br />of May 23, 1961. <br />MINUTES ON' A MEETING OF THE PLANNTNG COMM2SSIOIV <br />CTTY OF NORTH OLMSTvll - MAY 9s 1961 <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:15 P.M. by Vice Chairman Vincent. <br />The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. <br />Presents Ba13.ard W. Vincent, Richard Mongel.lo, Anthony T. LaPonza, Leslie B. <br />lZacs, Donald Ford; and Ralph Kelley. <br />Absent: Joseph P. Kadylak. <br />Also present: Alex Kannareff, City Engineer. <br />OHIO SHORES SUBDN1S10N <br />Discussion ensued re"lative to the set-back of the homes situated on the cul-de-sacs. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Mongello, seconded by Mr. T4acs9 to send a letter to the <br />Ohio Shores Construction Company recommending that they drop one lot out of each <br />cul-cie-sac, thereby moving:the set-backs on a more even line' and to shift the <br />radius of the first cul-de-sac in aWesterly ciirection,if possible. YEAS Ford, <br />Vi.ncent, Mongello, LaPonza, Nlacs, Kelley. A letter will be sent to the Ohio <br />Shores Construction Company to this effect. <br />MR. FURMAN - FLEHARTY ROAD <br />Mr, George Furman of 02y Fleharty Road' North Olmsted' proposed a plan to hage his <br />land zoned for a possible multipl.e dwelling or a grocery store. He was advised by <br />the Commission to present them with a petition before they could take any actiori <br />whatsoever, and then they could not do anything but make a recommendation to Council. <br />ARCH:CTECTURAL BOARD <br />A motion was made by Mr. Vi.neent, seconded by NIr. LaPonza, recommending a three-man <br />Architectural Board to be formed for the purpose of stopping and correcting some of <br />the prevailing landscape in the City, namely the Putt-Putt Golf Course9 the fruit <br />stand, and such other buil.dings as make the appearance of Lorain Road dumpy looking <br />or will in the futuree They also reconnnended that the City start seeking new <br />quarters for the service facilities. YEAS Vincent' 11ongello' LaPonza, Macs, Ford9 <br />Ke lley. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Ford' seconded by Mr. Ke"lley, to adjourn the meeting.
