Giacalone (See minutes Feb. 6th and Feb. 20, 1962). <br />References Moving of dwelling from Lorain Rd. to Elm Rdm, anc request <br />? for side and front variances. <br />As a resul.t of notification, present were appellant and E1m Rd. interested <br />neighbors, <br />Mr. Giacalone explained to the Board and neighbors just what he intended to do <br />when home was relocated, detailing his expenses, intended improvements and changes <br />to the house, with the assurance that the completed house would not be a detriment <br />to the neighborhood. Neighbors presEnt had no objections, s-tating that they would <br />rather have an older house on this vacant lot than a new oneo <br />114r. Greene entered a motion that a variance be granted as to front and side lines <br />-- a variance of 41 81" on the Ea.st side line, and suf_ficient variance on the set- <br />back to eorL orm with present building line of the neighboring houseso Metion <br />seconded by Mr. Kl.ir-ite, and unarinously approvedQ Mr. Giacalone was instructed <br />to proceed with securing permit to moge the house and relocate. <br />2. Appellants Sun Oil Co., represented by N1r. G1Enn Boland. <br />Referencea Erecting a temporaxy new sign to replace ey-isting Sinclair sign <br />at 24584 Lorain Rd., N.E. corner of Columbia Rd., N. Olmsted, 0. <br />Mr. Boland advised that- the Sun Oil Co. is taking over the above locatied Sinclair <br />gas station and rebuilding. Sun Oil requests permission to use the base of the <br />present Sincla.ir sign and erect one of their oT?m. Cor_structicn of the new station <br />? should be well along t7y mid-summer and then sign would be moved back to a permanent <br />loca.tion. An appeal wil.l be made later for a new permanent revolsring sign conforrn- <br />ing to their patterno Sinclair base is noTiT on the tree lawn; when permanent sign <br />is erected it will be on Sun Oil nroperty.
