These minutes are not official until anproved at Planning Commission Meeting of <br />February 13, 19620 <br />MINUTES OF AMEETING OF THE PLATdNING COPIiISSION <br />CITY 0F NOftTH OLMSTED - JADIUARY 23, 1962 <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Vincento <br />The minutes of tho previous meeting were read and approved, <br />Present: Ballard W. Jincent, Anthony T. LaPonza, Leslie B. 1•Iacs, Joseph P. Kadylak, <br />Donald T. Tord, and Richard C. PZongello. <br />Absent: Ralph P. Kelley. <br />Also Present: George Schaaf, Solicitor; Henry Caster, Councilman; Alex Kanareff' <br />City Engineer; Erriest J. Gundy, Building ComnissionEre <br />KARL KF'.ISEL PROPOSED SUBDIJISION. <br />This suedivision is located between Dover Road and Luce,ydale Road, ti•aith 2 lots <br />on Luceyda.le and 1 on Dover. The lots are about 50' by 150' in size. It was <br />suggested by vira LaPonza, that colonial or bungalow type homes would better suit <br />the area tihan the proposed ranch type hornes. It was suggested by Mr. Kanareff <br />-that the Commission should study the possi.bilit,y of extending Kenned,y Ridge Road <br />into Dover Road. The Commission discussed this nossibility and came up with the <br />proposal of putting in a 5-foot sidewalk instead of a street. It was decided to <br />? hold this in abeyance until the Commission can further study this possibilit.y. <br />Fur•ther action will be taken at the next meeting. <br />STOVFYF3ROOY. SLiBDIVISION <br />rir. Miller requested that sublots 58 through 62 be redivided so that they can make <br />the best advanta.ge of tne additional land they have acquirede Discussion ensued <br />relative to this proposal. It was moved by Nir. LaPonza, seconded by Mro P-facs, to <br />accept the change in the Stoneybrook Subdivision changing lots 58 through 62 and <br />making sublot 62 sixty-four feet plus or minus, sublot 61 sixty-four feet plus or <br />rninus, sublot 60 sixty-four feet,"sublot 59 sixty-four feet9 and sublot 58 si_xty- <br />three feet plus or minus. YEAS iTincent, LaPonza, Kadylak, Macs, Ford, PZongello. <br />PROPOSED REST HOME <br />Mrm Andrew J. Burin and Mrm James Gamellia presented plans to the Commission for a <br />rest home on Lorain Road in the area of Libby-Lee Subdivision, Varcari Subdivision., <br />and the Diocese propert,ya It was stated that the home will have 24-hour emergency <br />service and will meet the State requirements, It will consist of three buildings <br />with a maximum capacity of 450 people. Their proposal was to have this area <br />rezoned bacls past tne present comrnercial zoning approximately an additional 1000 <br />feet. It was suggested tllat their engineer crieck the d.rainage along the north- <br />south line as to whether or not it would be adeouatee A committee of Mr. Mlacs <br />and Mre LaPonza will meet Saturday, Januar,y 279 at 10:00 A.M. -to further stucly <br />the area. <br />ZONIPTG MAP <br />The zoning map was discussed. AI1 area was suggested at the most westerly end of <br />Lorain Road for light industrial use, along with otner areas to be rezoned.
