MINUTES OF A 2fiEETING OF THE PLANNING CONIMISSION CITy OF NOFiT H OLMSTED - FEBRUARY 279 1962 The meeting was called to order at 8:20 by Chairman Vincent. The rninutes were read by Mr. iMongello and approved as corrected. Present: Ba1lar.d W. Vincent., Leslie B. A7acs, A.nthony T. LaPonza9 Richard C. Mongello, Donald T. Fordo Absent: Joseph P. Kadylak, and Ralph P. Kelleyo Also Present: George Schaaf9 Solicitor; Alex Kanareff, City Engineer; Ernest J. Gundy' Building Commissioner; Henry Caster, Councilman. C. M. BO?TEPT PROPOSED SUI3DIVISION Mr. Clarence Oviatt presented plans proposing that the Planning Commission again consider in the adoption of tneir current proposed new Zone itIap zoning the rear lands Tahich are now owmed by PIr. Bowen which generally 1ie behind the propert;r of Luciwig's and Thom P4cAn Siioe Store for multiple useo His proposal would consist of seven 11 multiple unit structures. He has retained access on Clague Road North of Ludwig's access and is intending to construct a priva-L-e roadway. They feel that there is now adequate storm sewer in the area. This would mean the rezoning oi an additional 300 feet on the ZnTesterly line and approximately 250 feet on the diagonal Easterly line. It was moved by Mr. LaPonza, seconded by 11Ir. Macs, to accept this pro-Dosal contingent on the preseritation of and approval of plot plans at the meeting of 1'Iarch 13. YEAS LaPonza9 Macs, Vincent, Nlongello, Ford. ZOLDESY Mr. Michael Scanlon appeared on behalf of Mr, and Nlrs. Ludwig Zoldesy, 26751 Lorain Road, in regard to the plat that was to be referred baclc to the Commission by Councilo It was stated by iYr. Vincent that the Council had not referred an,ything back to the Commission. It uras then delivered back by Mr. Kanareff. It was decided to hold this in abeyance until Mr. Biskind or a representatiVe of his can Ue present at the meeting. It will be formally put on the agenda for the meeting of Marcn 13. LIBBY-LEE Mr. C. 0. Fisher re-presented plans for their subdivision and it was moved by NIr. Vincent9 seconded by Mr. LaPonza, to re-approve this subdivision and refer it back to Council for action by them inasmuch as time is of the essence to start any building program this year. The members o.f the Commission feel that the best use of this land is being made through the plans so submitted and approved. YEAS Vincent, LaPonza,, Ford, Macs, Monmello, Mr. DiBenedetto pras present?at the meeting to show interest ir_ what action is being taken on the zone map in regard to their ;'lest 231st Street project. r-ir. Lalor came before the Commission to find what action is being taken on the Lorain Road rezoning and to find what the status of the zoning on the lot Iocated at 25054 Lorain Road.is. He stated that he has 3 clients interested in the propert,y if it is zoned commercial.
