Kadylak, Ballard W. Vincent, Anthony T. LaPonza, Leslie B. Macs, and <br />Donald T. Ford. <br />Also Present; Alex Maxaganie Councilman. <br />Absents Thoraas:+Staclc and 8ichard Mongello0 <br />The ffieeting was called to order at 8t00 P.M. by Chairman Vincent. <br />MAY C0. . <br />Saul Biskind, 3au1 Shur, and Bill Zowery, cotunsel for the May Co., came before the Planning <br />Commiasion requesting rezoning of part of the mi$ed nse distriet to general retail zoning. <br />Nlre Biakind preaented plans for the RSap Co. to be located in thia proposed re¢eined portiono <br />Discussion ensued and it waa moved by R'tr. Maca, aeconded by Mr. Ford, to rezone that portion <br />of the miaed use diatrict beginning at a point at the fntersection of Great Northern Blvd, <br />and Country Club Blvd. and following a southerlg line of Great Northern Blvd. propoeed to <br />Brookpark Eoad then tidesterly to the Easterly line of North Park Shoppers Mart, Ince Thence <br />southerly along the Eaaterly line of the Nor th 1'ark Shoppers Mart, Inc. and thence along the <br />southerly line thereof to the present service road to the intersection of Country Club <br />B1g@o and Great 1Qorthern Blvd. and thence south to the point of the beginning as shown in <br />red ahade on exhibit A previously forwardeci to Council on November 12, 1963. YEAS <br />Macs, Ford, LaPonza, Pincent, Kadylak. <br />Nr. Biskind also requeated that our Zoning Ordinance 1212o01 in regaxd to parking regular <br />tiona be amendeda Discussion enaued and it was moved by Mr. LaPonza, seconded by Mr. <br />gadyla,k, to recommend the following proposed amendment to this ordinance to Councilt <br />"Parking space - an open or enclosed area for the par king of automobilee <br />directly accessible unto an aisle or private drive. Each space shall not <br />be lesa than 9 feet wide and not less than 20 feet long exclusive of all <br />drives, aisles, ramps and turning apace, except, however, attendant parking <br />lots operated by an attenda.nt and parking areas for one and two-family <br />dwellings may be less than. 9 feet wide; and provaded further that said <br />minimum Uridth of 9 feet shall be reduced to 8-1 feet in the caae of any <br />parking apaces which shall be laid out so that there shall be an angle of <br />not more than 55 degrees between the centerlines of the parking spaces <br />and the centerline of the aiele or driee which proPidea dir.ect access to <br />such space8 and so that there shall be a distance of at leaat 52 feet <br />between the centerlinea of adjoining parking bays measured along a line <br />perpendictalak4.:to; said?las t-mdntioned`..centerline.s;?"--Thenactual nvmber of space8 <br />shall be determined from a workable plaxi of the parking area.'# <br />YEAS IaPonza, gadylak, Ford, Vincent, Macs. <br />It was moved by Nlro Mace, seconded by Mr. Ford, to recomiaend the paving of Great Northern <br />Blvd. from a point on the Weeterly portion along the southerly line then '?'ortherly into <br />the May Co. parking lot at the present time with the bal&hce to be paved as needed. YEAS <br />Maca, Ford, I,aPonza, Vincent, gadylak. <br />It eaas moved by Mr. Kadylak, eeconded by Mr. Vincent, to have a neur opening into Greab <br />Northern Blvd. to he aligned with a mew road coming in from Lorain Road, through the Pin <br />Oaka Subdivision; also recommending that the propoeed xoad between Lorain and Brookpark <br />Roada be called Great Rorthern Blvdo YEAS gadylak, Vincent, I,aPonza, Maca, Ford.
