<br />' MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED - MARCH 10, 1964
<br />Present: Chairman Leslie B. Macs, Vice-Chairman Donald T. Ford, Secretary Anthony T.
<br />LaPonza, Jack Foltz, and James Prokasy, .
<br />Absent: Joseph P. Kadylak, Ballard W. Vincent,
<br />Also Present; Zaw Director, Bruce Kitchen; and Ernest J. Gundy, Building Commissioner.

<br />The meeting was called to order at 8:10 P.M. by Chairman Macs,

<br />The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
<br />A communication was read from the Clerk of Council in regard to a proposed amendment to 0
<br />Ordinance 64=30 to delete the last 8 words of paragraph G. Discussion ensued and it
<br />was moved by Mr, LaPonza, seconded by Mr. Prokasy, to approve this amendment a's written.

<br />A progress report from the Building Department was read to the Commission and a copy
<br />presented to each member,
<br />Mr. Macs advi"sed the Commission that on Thursday, March 19, at 8:00 P.M. there=was to
<br />be a combined,meeting with the Mayor, Council and the Planning Commission to discuss
<br />the sewers for the remaining sections of the City, ?

<br />NOREEN SUBDIVISION
<br />Mr, Andreano presented improvement plans for Noreen Subdfvision for approval by the
<br />Commission. Discussiori ensued and it was moved by Mr. LaPonza, seconded by Mr. Prokasy,
<br />to approve these plans as shown subject to approval by the City Engineer. YEAS

<br />Mr. Richard Sands, representing Lake City Land, a subsidiary of Flair Builders,
<br />presented the":Commfssion with a plan for an apartment development located on Co'lumbia
<br />-Road between Brookpark and Kennedy Ridge Roads consisting of 250 suites with 379 car
<br />parking> This' would cover a 10 acre tract of Iand and would include an 8 story high
<br />rise building;with 117 two bedroom suites and 67 one bedroom suites. and 6 townliouses
<br />with 26 three%bedroom and 40 two bedroom suites. Discussion ensued relative to this
<br />proposal between the Commission, the Law Director, and the Building Commissioner and
<br />the developer-and it was moved by Mr. LaPonza, seconded'by Mr. Ford, to put thi's into
<br />committee for?further study with the Law Department. YEAS LaPonza, Ford, Macs?, Foltz,
<br />Prokasy,
<br />Mr, Prokasy reported to the Commission As.committee chafrman for the industrial develop-
<br />ment of the City that the committee has been set up and is in the process of studying
<br />the problems nbw,
<br />Mr. Macs reported on the meeting with Council March 2 where Mr, Louis Kaduk spoke in
<br />regard to high`rise buildings.
