M. by Mr. William Greene, Chairman. <br />Members Presento Mrs, Eian, PZessrso Greene, Nelson, Byers, Roberts <br />Also Present : Mr. Gundy, Building Commissioner <br />l. Appellant; Charles R. Viets, 23333 Woodview Drive, N. Olmsted, 0. <br />Continua.tion of request for variance to build an attached <br />garage to front of existing house. <br />Violation of Zoning Oz°d. #1159.01, minimum setba.ck of <br />dwelling shall be 50 feet from the street line. <br />Mr. Viets explained he needs a variance of 25 f'eet because land area <br />in rear of house has very poor drainage, Mr. Gundy inspected tre area <br />and found it to be under four inches of water. He was somewhat skeptical <br />at this time, of the City being able to drain the area. <br />Mr. Roberts moved to grant a 25' front yard variance, seconded by <br />Mr. Byerso Unanimously passed. <br />2, Appellant: David C. Mersing, 3993 Walter Road, N. Olm.sted, 0. <br />Request to build a screened-in patio to rear of house, <br />variance of !.{. feet requested between proposed structure <br />and existing garagem <br />Violation of Zoning Ord. #1151.04 (C), garage to be <br />located 20 feet from existing s-L-ructuree <br />Mro Plersing stated the distrance betvreen proposed structu-re and exist:ng <br />garage Urould be 16 feet. Appellant: Edson C. Burgess, 6684 Nancy Drive, N. Olmsted, 0. <br />Request for v ariance to erect a six foot fence on rea.r <br />property line. <br />Violation of Zoning 0-rc3. #1151.04 (H), fence not to <br />exceed four feet in height along property line. <br />Mr. Burgess explained variance wa.s requested beca.ttse the rear adjoining <br />propertzJ is very messy and poorly kept, old junk cars parked, etc. Fence <br />is to be basket-weave or type that will screen off unpleasa.nt view. <br />Neighbors present were M?.?. Richard Cronin, 6698 Nancy Drive and <br />Nlr. William Bubert, 6655 Nancy Drive. Both were in f avor of the variance. <br />Mr. Nelson moved that a two foot variance be gra.nted to permit Mr. Burgess <br />to Uuild a six foot high fence across rea.r property line. Seconded by <br />Nir. Byers. Unanimously approved.
