Those present: Mrs. Eian., Mssrse Roberts, Greene, Lancashire' Davis <br />Also present: Mr. Gundy, BuiZding Commissioner <br />The minutes of the 6/19/69 meetilig were approved as written. <br />lo Appel]_ant: James W. Green, 5758 Wellesley. Request to erect 301 of 6' high fence <br />at rear corner of property. R.equest is in violation of urdinance #62 33, <br />Section 1151.04, fence sha.Zl not exceed 41 in height, <br />Present: Mre Green <br />Mr. Green explained that the way his Iot is situated9 his yarcl is open to traffic on <br />two streets. He wishes to erect 151 of fence on two sides of his swimuning pool to <br />give a sma11 amount of privacy. The fence would be a cllaa.n-Iink type i,rith woven plastic <br />strips. Discussion was held and it wa.s feZt tb-ait ihere was a definite hardship due to <br />the street Iocations. Mr. Greene moved to graMt a variance for 301 of 61 fence; seconded <br />by Mrso Eian and unanimously passed. <br />2e Apnellant: Stuart Keener. Request for special pernit (1133.09) to locste an <br />amusement type slide ride at rear of Putt Putt Golf Course., Great <br />Nortnern Shopping Center, <br />• Present: Mr. I{eener <br />Mr. Keener presented a photograph showing the slide in question. He stated that it wras <br />321 high and 981 Iong md made of stainless steeZ. It is not a perma.n.ent fixture and <br />would be Zocated for a 60 - 90 day season. Tt was pointed out that St. Richarda Ghurch <br />had contacted tl3e Zoning Bowrd ar d stated that they did not approve of the slide being <br />in.stalled. Mr. Pavis moved to deny the request; seconded by r,2re Lancas'nire and passed. <br />3. Anpellant: Sheffler Chevrolet, 26$90 Lorain Road. N,equest to erect signs in <br />excess of permitted square footage and too lv.gh. Request is in violation <br />of Ordinance #62-33, sec-tion 1225.02. <br />Presentr hIr. Sheffler, other representatives of SheffIer Chevrolet <br />I-t w•as exp3.ained that General Motors has Iaunched a program of installing Standard <br />signs on a.ll their dealerships. The existing signs will be taken downm r2re 8hei':fler <br />stated that ile feels their present iaentification is i.nadequate and that he z-rants to <br />standardize his signs wi.th those oi a11 other Chevrolet agenciesa It was determined <br />that a total sign area of 461 squa.re feet is periiiissa,ble for the building. Discussion <br />was held regarding a previous variance granted before Mr. Sheffler toolc aver the <br />business. Since records were not e-vailable' Mr. Greene moved to continue the case so <br />that a11 facts cauld be considered; seconded by 2Sr. :Gancashire and tulaninousl3* passedo <br />4.
