Roll Call <br />The meeting was called to oraier at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman James Davis. <br />Those Present were Messrs. Davis, Donald Lsdvina, Kurt Fiictiards, James <br />Leonard, Edward Byers. Absent:' J. Edward Brewer ` <br />A1so Present: Mr. Ransbury, Assistant to City Engineer; Mr. Gundy, Building <br />Commiss3.oner;. Marge Nader, 5ecretary. ' <br />II. Reading and Correction of Minutes <br />Mr. Richarcgs moved to accept the minutes as wri;tten; seconded by Mr. Leonard <br />and uManfmously approved.. III. Build3.ng Department Requests <br /> <br />Szarka's - Mr. Davis snggested this be left in the committee of the whole <br />nnt3.l Mr. Kitehen is contacted. <br />IV. Old Bus3.ness <br />Biskind-Szarka Subdivision and Rezonin `- Mr. Toth and Mr. Szarka were present, <br />e plan had been changed to incorpnrate blocDt A into the requested resi.derati.al <br />zvning. A disctxssion was.held, Mr. Biskind stated that Mrs. Johnson of the <br />Bretton Ridge C3.wi.c Association called hun and wished to have a meeting with <br />him and three members of the Bretton ftidge Association. The square footage <br />was discussed. The assoaiation stated.that i.f i.t.was poss3.ble to go alonQ <br />with the sqaare footage that woald be needed for the A classifieation, that <br />they would see to it_that the Bretton Ridge Home Owners Associat3.on would " <br />permit the purchasers of homes 6n these.three lots the same pridileges <br />that the other owners ia Bretton Ridge hane. Mr. Danis said that no matter <br />what action is taken-here tonight, thi.s matter.stilZ goes to GounciZ and <br />there is a public hearing befare a final decision is made. Mr. Jim Tobfn <br />asked if there would be any way that this.can be classified to be included <br />in SubdivisioM No. 1? Mr. Davis said that they cannot legally attach this <br />to any adjacent subd.ivision. Mr. Tobin asked what cou].d be safd about <br />block A in reference to this? Mr.'3Javis stated that origatnally this was <br />to be left commercial. The P1anning Commission objected to that because <br />there was a direet link to the proposed restaurant and they did not want <br />to see a drineway going thz°ough there. Mr. McTntyre said they certainly <br />did not objeet to that. Mr. Tobin stated that it would be a haza,rd to <br />have a driveway t,tiere as far as safety goes, Mr. Tobin said that he <br />would not like $o see a 1300 square foot home there, whfle a11 the others <br />have 1.500 square feet or more. Mr. Ledvina said,the logical thing would <br />be to get a deed restriction. Mr. Leonard moved to rezone and subdivide <br />1bts 1, 2, and 39 seconded by Mr. Byera and unanimously passed. <br />At this t3.me Mr. Robert E1lfott appeared. He is a new member of tMe Planning <br />Commission'.
