GITY OF NORTH OMTED, OHIO <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />May 23, 1972 <br />I. Roll Ca17. <br />The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Byers at <br />8:00 p.m. Those present were 14essrs. Byers, Kurt Richards <br />Danald fedvina, Secretary, Robert Elliott and J. Edward <br />Brewer. <br />Also Present: Mr. Ernest Gundy, 3uilding Commissioner, J. <br />Bruce I{itchen, Director of Law9 and hrs. Virginia Hodains, <br />Recording Lecretarye <br />II. Reading and Correction of Minutes <br />lIr. Ledvi.na moved for aoproval of minutes9 seconded by Mr. <br />Richards. i?Ation passed. <br />III. l3uilding Department Requests <br />(a) Nir. Gundy presented plans for parking area at 2598L <br />Lorain Roa d(Chef GeneTs). Minutes of Zoning Board <br />of L?ppeals meeting of December 1, 1971, in which ap- <br />proval of addition to non-conforming building was <br />granted, were read by Mr. Brewer. tiVith the addition <br />the building wi11 accommodate 10 peaple. 7L car <br />parking is required. Plans show total of 92 parking <br />spaces and through driveway. Chef Gene r'lott des- <br />cribed landscaping plan and face lifting on outside <br />of.building, It was sug-vested that parking spaces <br />be reduced by 4 to increase side of driveway. Mr. <br />Brewer moved for approval with the 4 parking spaces <br />eliminated. The motion died for lack of a second. <br />Mr: Ledvina moved to reject the parking layout for <br />laek of detailed drawings seconded by Nr. A,ichards. <br />Motion carried h to 1 with Mr. 3rewer voting no. <br />(b) Mr. C,undy presentea parking la.yout for Brookpark Ex- <br />tension Shopping Center. Stores will be Gold Ciicle <br />and a grocery store. ?lan shows 762 parking spaces. <br />A7r. Richards moved -for approval seconded b,y Mr. El- <br />liott. n°otion passed. <br />IV. OId .3usiness <br />(a ) Froelich ; ubdivision <br />Mr-. Kanareff was present and said his clients are willing <br />to grant for dedication to the City of iVorth 0].msted <br />the 50 additional feet in each of sub-lots ]., 2 and 3 on <br />North Park Drive. Mr. Ledvina moved we approve the p3.an <br />as submitted seconded by Mr. Elliott. Motion passed <br />nnanimously.
