PLANNING CON11ISSION <br />June 12, 1°73 <br />I. Roll Call <br />Chairman Davis called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Those present were: Chairman Davis, Messrs. Ledvina, <br />Richards, Brewer, Byers and Flliott. <br />Also present: M. Karhan, City Engineer, E. Gundy, Build- <br />ing Commissioner and Nirs. Virginia Hodgins, Recording Sec'y. <br />II: Reading and Correction of Minutes <br />Mr. Ledvina moved minutes be accepted as printed. Motion <br />was seconded by Mr. Byers and passed unanimously. <br />III. Building Department Requests <br />(a ) Boars Head Ftestaurant <br />Mr. Gundy presented plans for the restaurant to be <br />located on Great iJorthern 31vd. Zvning Boaxd had <br />passed request for variance to 01 parking spaces <br />on site. Mr. Koenig made presentation of plans, <br />menu and prices. Fie stated overflow parking on <br />Frida.y and Saturday nights could be accommodated <br />in the Goodyear parking lot. NIr. Ledvina moved <br />to approve9 seconded by Mr. rlliott and passed. <br />(b) Grace Manor Apartments <br />Plans for 2 story apartments at corner of Grace <br />and Brookpark Rd. were presented by Nr. Gundy. <br />In June of 1972 p7-ans had been approved by Council. <br />Since then plans have been upgraded. There is less <br />density, 72 units, 20 one bedroom apartments and <br />52 two bedroom apartments. There are to be 61 <br />covered parking spaces. One way drive into Grace <br />and two way drive into CTeorgette. Mr. Gundy stat- <br />ed plans meet the ordinances in ever.y way. NIr. <br />Byers said it is. drastic change from former glans. <br />He prefers not to hurry with approval. Fire Dept. <br />approval of radius on turns is requested. Mr. <br />Ledvina moved to place in committee. Mr. Brewer <br />seconded the motione Messrs. Moss and Sid Caplan, <br />7000 Granger Rd., Independence, U131, 52h-5000, <br />are developers and stated there will be another <br />suite added for custodian. Motion to place in <br />committee passed unani.mously. <br />N. Old Business <br />(a) Amerikid Day Care School - No one came forth
