LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES FOR SPECIAL MEETING OF OCTOBER 22, 2012 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. in Council Chambers and Mr. Dubowski <br />led the Pledge of Allegiance. Present:. Paul Schumann, David Neville, Albert Richner, Tom Dubowski, Jim Morse, Dale <br />Thomas, Julie Nader, Maryellen Davis <br />Absent: Don Rerko <br />Staff: Clerlc of Commissions Donna Rote <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Neville moved, seconded by Mr. Richner, to approve the September 10, 2012 minutes <br />as written which passed 8-0. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Certificate of Appropriateness: 25769 Butternut Ridge Road <br />Mr. Schumann noted the applicant was not present. The request is to widen the driveway and add <br />a rear patio and front turnaround. Members visited the site and noted improvements made. <br />Stamped concrete will be used but the application isn't clear if the entire driveway is being <br />replaced or just widened. Mr. Richner said approval should include the condition that all <br />materials are to match the existing driveways textures, patterns and joint alignments to ensure a <br />cohesive look. Commissioners agreed traffic volume on Butternut Ridge warranted the request. <br />Mr. Richner moved seconded by Mr. Morse to grant 2576 Butternut Ridge Road a <br />certificate of appropriateness to widen the existing driveway, add a rear patio and front <br />turnaround which passed 8-0. <br />Mr. Richner moved seconded by Mr. Morse to require a detailed plan be submitted to the <br />building department showing all materials used will match the existing driveways textures, <br />patterns and joint alignments, if entire driveway is not being replaced which passed 8-0. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />)yit r bu iness, Mr erko's absence was excused and meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m. <br />• .?' v <br />1 Sc mann, Ch-gir onna Rote, erk of Commissions <br />--) ? <br />Date
