-.- - ? < <br />CULTURAL ACTIVITIES COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES FOR MARCH 7, 2012 <br />ItOLL CALL <br />Mr. Yusticlc called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the North Olmsted Branch Library. <br />Present: Gerald Yustick, Beverle Martindale, David Wahl, Barbara Schirhart, Barbara <br />Brown, Nasreen Starner <br />Absent: Miguel Cora <br />ELECT CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR <br />Ms. Starner moved, seconded by Ms. Schirhart, to elect Gerald Yustick Chair for the 2012 <br />calendar year, which passed 6-0. <br />Mr. Wahl moved, seconded by Ms Brown, to elect Ms. Martindale Vice Chair for the 2012 <br />calendar year, which passed 6-0. <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Martindale moved, seconded by Ms. Starner, to approve the meeting minutes of <br />February 1, 2011, which passed 6-0. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />North Olmsted City Ha11 Art Gallery <br />Board members reviewed John Wilhelm's art application and felt his work would be fitting for <br />City Hall and looked forward to seeing his art displayed. The clerk was asked to contact Mr. <br />Wilhelm to let him know he will be scheduled to display his art from July through September. <br />COMIVIITTEE REPORTS <br />Dover Players <br />Ms. Martindale said the script is written for the Sherlock Holms play and will run the last three <br />weelcends in April. The second play is being written to take place on other planets and the third <br />will be a children's play. <br />Board members discussed Frostville Pancake Brealcfast, Olmsted Festival of the Arts and <br />possibly having another Park Fest which gives local musicians exposure. Mr. Wahl said he <br />would like to see money raised to have the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame group "Exhibit A" <br />perform at Park Fest. Mr. Wahl reviewed the Olmsted Festival of the Arts meetings held and <br />said the last meeting included organizational teams being formed and deadlines set.
