PLANNING & DESIGN COMNIISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF AUGUST 22, 2012 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Ms. Meredith called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers and led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Present: Melissa Meredith, Greg Malone, Robert Parry, Julie Nader, Mark Mahoney, Don Rerko <br />Absent: Ralph Bohlmann <br />Staff: Assistant Law Director Bryan O'Malley, Clerk of Commissions Donna Rote <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Meredith moved, seconded by Mr. Malone, to approve the Planning and Design Commission <br />minutes of August 8, 2012, which passed 6-0. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />CMS12-23 Exit 2 Storage: 31399 Industrial Parkwav <br />Representative: Dale Schmidt <br />Mr. Schmidt said his intent is to complete the final pllase of the site consisting of a new 3,870 square foot <br />structure with five storage bays. Most landscaping is preexisting however three arrow wood trees <br />positioned around the dumpster enclosure will be added to buffer its view. All colors and materials used <br />will match the existing storage units. Mr. Rer]<o questioned the asphalt pad behind the 25 ft storage area <br />and Mr. Schmidt said the bay is a pull through unit aild the asphalt squares off the existing pavement. <br />Ms. Meredith noted the front of the site was well landscaped but noticed portions of the fence were <br />missing. Mr. Schmidt said a storm damaged a section of fence which is being replaced. <br />Ms. Meredith moved, seconded by Mr. Rerko, to approve the proposal for CMS12-23 Exit 2 <br />Storage of 31399 Industrial Parkway which consists of a new storage canopy and site <br />improvements, which passed 6-0. <br />COMMUNICATION <br />Mr. Parry said it would be his last meeting due to worlc and personal obligations which conflict with the <br />commissions meeting dates.
