PLANNING & DESIGN COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF AUGUST 27, 2014 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Vice Chair Nader called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. in Council Chambers and led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Present: Julie Nader, Don Rerko, Paul Schumann, David Anderson <br />Absent: Greg Malone, Ralph Bohlmann <br />Staff: City Engineer Pietro DiFranco, Clerk of Commissions Donna Rote <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Nader moved, seconded by Mr. Rerko, to approve the Planning & Design Commission <br />minutes of August 13, 2014, as amended, which passed 4-0. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />CMS14-1746: Water Tower Square & McDonald Lot split and Consolidation <br />Representative: Jim Ptacek, Larsen Architects <br />Mr. DiFranco said there were no evident issues and engineering recommended approval. Mr. Ptacek <br />said lot consolidation was the last step in the McDonalds/Water Tower Square approval. The time <br />lapse since the commission's approval was due to acquiring the portion of land needed to complete <br />the McDonald's project. Now that the land has been acquired they are splitting and consolidating <br />the section of land to start work on the drive through. Mr. Anderson asked if there would be <br />continuous curbing throughout the site or just in the location to the rear of the site. Mr. Ptacek said <br />new continuous curbing will be installed were construction is talcing place. Mr. Schumann asked if <br />the development had changed since the commission approved it and Mr. Ptacek said the work <br />would be completed as approved. <br />Ms. Nader moved, seconded by Mr. Rerko, to approve CMS14-1746: Water Tower Square & <br />McDonald Lot split and Consolidation which consists of splitting a portion of Parcel "A" <br />PPN 232-09-036 depicted as Split Parcel "B" (0.1149 acres) owned by Water Tower Square <br />LP, and consolidating with Parcel `C' owned by McDonald's Real Estate Company, <br />forming a single parcel containing within its boundaries approximately 1.1289 acres <br />depicted as Consolidated Parcel.`C', which.passed 4-0. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Master Plan Update <br />Ms. Nader said that while she and Mr. Schumann were greeters at the Homecoming Big Tent Event <br />on August 22°d; there was a lot of foot traffic through the tent. Mr. Schumann said the event went <br />well and there were about 50 residents who participated in the survey.
