BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF DECEMBEit 7, 2015 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Ms. Rudolph called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers and led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Present: Jennifer Rudolph, Laura Bellido, Bob Papotto, Eric Allain, Michael Raig <br />Staff: Law Director Michael Gareau, Jr., Assistant Building Commissioner Daniel Russell, <br />Clerk of Commissions Donna Rote, Permit Clerk Nicole Rambo <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Raig moved, seconded by Mr. Allain, to approve the Board of Zoning Appeals minutes <br />of November 2, 2015, motion passed 5-0. <br />RESIDENTIAL APPEALS AND REQUEST <br />15-4769; Lisa Reszegi: 29840 Broxbourne <br />Proposal consists of a newly constructed deck and gazebo, the following variances are required: <br />1. A 593 sq. ft. variance for maximum lot coverage; code permits 2,700 sq. ft., applicant shows <br />3,293 sq. ft., Section 1135.05(c). <br />2. An 11 ft. 8 in. variance for rear yard setback; code requires 50 ft., applicant shows <br />38 ft. 4 in., Section 1135.06. <br />3. A 1 ft. variance for maximum height of other accessory structure; code permits 12 ft., <br />applicant shows 13 ft., Section 1135.02(d)(2). <br />Ms. Rudolph called 15-4769; Lisa Reszegi of 29840 Broxbourne Road forward, as no one was <br />present to address the request the following motion was made: <br />Ms. Rudolph moved, seconded by Mr. Papotto, to table 15-4769; Lisa Reszegi of 29840 <br />Broxbourne and re-docketed on the new BZBA agenda of 01-04-2016, motion passed 5-0. <br />Mr. Gareau noted that even though the applicant will be docketed on a new board's agenda they <br />will not be required to reapply or incur additional charges. <br />15-4932; Caleb Zimmerman: 6190 Fitch Road <br />Proposal consists of a fence in the front yard. The following variances are requested: <br />1. A 72 in. variance for fence in the front yard; code permits 30 in., applicant shows 102 in., <br />Section 1135.02(fl(1). <br />2. A variance for a solid wood fence in the front yard; code requires 50% open, applicant shows <br />solid; Section 1135.02(f)(1). <br />The oath was administered to homeowner Caleb Zimmerman. Mr. Zimmerman said the <br />landscape plan he designed included three sections of fence, evergreens which grow between 10 <br />to 12 feet high, seasonal plantings and decorative landscape lights. The landscape feature is <br />needed to buffer vehicle noise, lights and provide privacy. The fence panels will be 6 feet high <br />with a 2 foot opening along the top.
