Property is zoned C-One Family Residence.
The following variance is requested:
1. A 4 ft. variance for a rear yard setback for a new deck; code requires 50 ft., applicant shows
46 ft., Section 1135.06(D).
Mr. Aspery said the applicant is requesting a variance of 4 feet to allow for the addition of a 450
square foot deck to the rear of the home to replace the existing deck. The rear yard setback from
the rear of the house is 62 feet and the proposed porch would reduce this setback to 46 feet. Code
requires a rear yard setback of no less than 50 feet. Mr. Borowske said the existing deck will be
replaced with a declc of the same size in the same location. Without the variance, the depth of the
deck would need to be decreased significantly. Mr. Raig pointed out that the deck was not there
when he visited the property, Mr. Borowske stated that it had already been removed. Mr. Papotto
thought a deck could be built without a variance but if the same size deck is to be installed then a
variance would be needed.
Mr. Allain moved, seconded by Mr. Papotto, to approve the following variance for 18-12019;
Gary Siefring; 3944 Woodside Drive:
1.
