CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS <br />COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM <br />WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 18, 2005 <br />MINUTES 5:30 p.m. <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />R. Puzzitiello called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Chairman Puzzitiello, N. Althen, M. Conway, D. Sabo, P. Engoglia <br />ALSO PRESENT: Asst. Building Commissioner Rymarczyk, Planning Secretary L. McNabb <br />ABSENT: <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />M. Conway to approve the minutes of July 21, 2005. D. Sabo seconded the motion, which was <br />unanimously approved. <br />III. OLD BUSINESS <br />IV. NEW BUSINESS <br />Sharon and Alan Teel 5115 Andrus Avenue (WRD 4) <br />Code requires that all residential properties are required to have a garage. Garage was removed <br />several years ago and was never replaced. Note: This is in violation of Zoning Code 1161.08 (a) <br />(1). <br />Mr. Engoglia indicated that this is an issue that should have been addressed by the Board of <br />Zoning Appeals instead of our Board and therefore it will be directed to them. <br />P. Engoglia moved to send this to the Board of Zoning Appeals, M. Conway seconded, which <br />was unan:mously approved. <br />Lisa Rittwage 6279 Stafford Drive, (WRD 31 <br />Permit for an electrical outlet to be installed approximately 30' from pool side. Code requires <br />an electrical outlet to be installed 10'-20' from pool side. This is in violation of Building Code <br />Section #680.22 (a) (3) of the 2005 National Electric Code. <br />The electrical contractor came forward to represent the applicant. Because of the layout of the <br />yard, the applicant is requesting to have an outlet in the flower bed. This is against code as it <br />would be more than 20' from the pool side. She further indicated that she has children playing <br />near the swing set as well as near the pool and she did not want them tripping over any cords. <br />Also, it would be safer for the landscaper while mowing the lawn. <br />Building Inspector Grayshaw informed the contractor and advised against having it placed within <br />the code and suggested the flower bed area.
