CALL: <br />Chairman Lang called the meeting to order at 7:08 pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman J. Lang, Commissioner's; P. Ba.rker, B. Lord, M. Davis, T. Schock, L. <br />T'hogtnartin and P. Schumann. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Assistant Law Director B. O'Malley <br />ABSENT: Commissioner's R. Bohlmann and D. Rerko. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORItECTION OF MIIYUTES: <br />B. Lord moved to approve the Landmarks Commission minutes dated September 12, 2005 <br />as written. L. Thogmartin seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved. <br />Mr. Schock questioned if the commission didn't discuss getting a copy of the appraisal and <br />environmental report from the City as it was not Peflected in the minutes. Mr. O'1VTa11ey <br />advised that if the commission whished to have information gathered they should appoint a <br />member to gather the information or direct on ta.pe that the clerk is to specifically look or <br />gather and submit iriformation to the commission. Mr. O'Malley believed that the Law <br />Department had a copy of the appraisal and the report. He would send Mr. Schock a copy <br />of the documentation to review and share with the commission. <br />III. ItECEPTION OF VISITORS: <br />SITES Student Drew Tedick <br />Applicant Mick Boyle <br />NEW BU5INESS: <br />1. IVIick Bovle; 25780 Butternut Ridge Itoad: <br />Proposal consists of a request for a letter of appropriateness to replace aluminum siding with <br />vinyl siding. <br />Mr. Lang questioned if the roof axid shingles were in fact completed. Mr. Boyle indicated <br />that they were completed. He passed around a sample of the existing siding and the <br />proposed siding. Mr. Earker questioned what was wrong with the roof that it couldn't wait <br />until the special meeting. Mr. Boyle indicated that his home was structurally damaged due <br />to a rotten roof which was leaking therefore the Building Commissioner was able to issue a <br />permit for the work to be corrected without going to landmarks. His home is a split-level <br />home and the far left roof and garage roofs meet at the seconded floor and it is at that point <br />were the siding had to be removed to fix the roof properly with flashing. Mr. Barker asked <br />if the applicant planned on changing the siding the same time the roof was fixed. 1VIr. Boyle <br />indicated that he wanted to do both at tkie same time. Mr. Schwmann reviewed that as the <br />home was built in 1968 it is appropriate to use vinyl siding as it was available at the time. <br />P.
