ROLL CALL: <br />Acting Chairman J. Lasko called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />P12ESENT: Board members; J. Lasko, S. Hoff-Smith, T. Hreha and R. Bohlmann. <br />AI,SO PIZESENT: Assistant Law Director B. O'Malley, Planning Director K. Wenger, City <br />Engineer G. Durbin, Assistant Building Commissioner T. Rymarczyk, and Clerk of <br />Commissions D. Rote <br />ABSENZ': Chairman R. Koeth, Board Members; W. Spalding, and M. Yager. <br />Prior to the start of the meeting Mayor O'Grady swore in new Planning Commission member <br />Ralph Bohlmann. Board members welcomed their new inember. <br />REVIEW Alm1D CORRECTIOleT OF MINUTES: <br />Mrs. Hoff-Smith requested that board member J. Lasko be shown as present at the 1Vlareh 10, <br />2005 Planning Commission meeting. <br />J. Lasko moved to approve the March lOtn & 22°a Planning Commission minutes as <br />corrected. S. Hoff-Smith seconded the motion which was unanimously approved. <br />III. COIVIMUNICATIONS: <br />IV. OLD BUSIIIeTTESS: <br />1. Halleen Kaa, 27726 Lorain Road, (VV12D 1): <br />Proposal is to request an addition to the existing showroom and site improvements. Note: <br />Architectural Review Boazd approved this proposal on 1/19/05. Planning Commission <br />referred this proposal to Landmarks 1-25-05 and tabled the proposal on 3/8/05 & 3/22/05. <br />The Board of Zoning Appeals board table variances on 2/3/05 and addressed amended <br />variances on 3/3/05. <br />Department Repoirts: <br />Planning Director Wenger reported that Halleen KIA had been tabled at the March 22°a <br />Planning Commission meeting. The applicant submitted complete plans as requested, i.e. <br />building elevations, landscape plan, photometric plan and parcel map, taking into account the <br />City Foresters recommendations, with the following amendments: <br />• The fence currently on top of the mound would be continued, stepping down from the <br />mound and connecting to the existing service building. A gate is to be installed to <br />provide access to maintain the landscaping in the rear. Two 6-foot ta11 blue spnace trees <br />are to be planted to screen the gap. <br />• The arborvitae along the north property line has been replaced with 13 blue spruce trees <br />set on 10 foot centers. To provide better buffering from sight and noise. <br />1
