CITY OF NORTH OLIVIST'ED <br />CULTURAL ACTIVITIES COMMISSION <br />OLD TOWN HALL <br />OCTOBER 4, 2006 <br />6:45PM <br />MINUTES <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />PRESENT: Chairman Garland, J. Kepperley, G. Yustick, B. Brown, B. Martindale <br />ABSENTo F. Curry <br />11. ItEVIEW ANA CO1tRFCTION OF MINUrrES: <br />The minutes for September 6, 2006 were reviewed and unanimously approved as is. <br />III. NEW BUSINESS: <br />The Commission discussed the Red Brick Center for the Arts. It will be a cultural <br />arts center in Westlake. Mr. Yustick suggested that what they are doing is similar to <br />the Westlake Council for the Arts. Mr. Garland articulated that the two entities may <br />do best at working together. Presently, they Red Brick Center is interested in putting <br />our Commission on their mailing list. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Mr. Kepperley spoke about 440 applications being mailed. The school set up a <br />mailing account with Mr. Kepperley to get a bulk rate. <br />V. COMNdiTNICATIONS: <br />Mrs. Brown noted that Clague Playhouse will be having a celebration for the <br />holiday, with entertainment in December. She distributed the information.. <br />??1. r'Oi??!?T'?' a'?+ E ?'?.''?:?S: <br />Mrs.lVlartindale said the play is coming along well. There will be 40 seats available <br />for each performance, which may require reservations. Dover Players now.have a <br />web site. <br />VII. ADJOURNMEl\TTo The Commission then attended the Art Show at the North <br />__Q1m-stv4 Library.
