CULTURAL ACTIVITIES COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MEETING MINUTES OF OCTOBER 3, 2007 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Chair Garland called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. in Old Town Hall. <br />Present: Beverle Martindale, Gerald Yustick, Royden Garland, John Kepperley David <br />Wahl <br />Absent: Barbara Brown, Faye Curry <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />Mr. Kepperley moved, seconded by Mr.Yustick, to approve the minutes from the September 5, <br />2005 meeting, which were unanimously approved. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Review of the Art Show: <br />Mr. Kepperley received 14 responses from the survey of the Frostville Art Show. He noted that <br />most artists felt the attendance was too low, however the price was fair. Suggestions were given <br />regarding free advertisement or more publicity for the Festival. The Kiwanis is giving a Pat <br />Catans gift card to the winning High School art student. The next festival is scheduled for <br />August 10, 2008. Mr. Kepperley suggested having more music and entertainment. The <br />Commission discussed the entry for the artists should be around fifty dollars which would help <br />cover all of the cost of the festival, although there was no official decision. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />December Holidav Event: <br />The Commission discussed having the Holiday Event at Old Town Hall on December 26 and 27. <br />The Commission may speak with Linda Little about assisting with promoting the event. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Dover Plavers: The new schedule for the performances of Bell Book and Candle are October <br />19, 20, 26, 27, and November 2 and 3. <br />COMMITNICATIONS <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The-meeting w s adjourned at 7:30pm. <br />Royde'n Garland, Chair <br />?? ; <br />? <br />Approved:
