`^ .. . ? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CULTURAL ACTIVITIES COMMISSION <br />OLD TOWN HALL <br />JUNE 6, 2007 <br />MINUTES <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Garland called the meeting to order at 6:45pm. <br />PRESENT: R. Garland, G. Yustick, J. Kepperley, B. Martindale, F. Curry <br />ABSENT: D. Wahl, B. Brown <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />Mr. Kepperley moved to approve the minutes for May 2, 2007, second by Mr. Yustick, <br />which was unanimously approved. <br />III. NEW BUSINESS: <br />Rescheduled meetin? <br />The Commission will meet at Frostville on June 27 at 6:45pm. The Commission will review <br />the layout for the artists display areas for the Art Festival. <br />Countv Arts Grant <br />Mr. Kepperley introduced the Cuyahoga County CAC grant program. He provided <br />information to all of the Commission members to review. The grant is for non-profit art <br />groups and businesses that would like assistance with projects and development. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Frostville Art Show <br />Mr. Kepperley stated that there are currently 18 artists participating in the Art Show at <br />Frostville. Mr. Kepperley will also be coordinating a High School art competition, with <br />awards given to winners. He would also like to recognize their work at Homecoming. Mr. <br />Kepperley is speaking with a senior student to get artists from the high school. The works <br />will be hung in the barn at Frostville. The high school can provide any additional supplies <br />for display. Lone Star steak house will have chicken dinners available for purchase. <br />Frostville is interested in having a food drive for the city with the event as well, which is <br />being organized through the Key Club. There is also some advertisement planned for the <br />festival. Mr. Kepperley will work with Paul Schumann to put up a sign for the event. There <br />is no entrance fee for viewers, the artists paid forty dollars per space. The artists will receive <br />a map of where they will be located within Frostville. Ms. Curry suggested that it would <br />help to be on site to establish the layout. She stated she received a county wide e-mail listing <br />of all of the arts related events for the summer.
