CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CULTURAL ACTIVITIES COMMISSION <br />MEETING MINUTES OF OCTOBER 7, 2009 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Chair Yustick called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the North Olmsted Library. <br />Present: Gerald Yustick, Beverle Martindale, David Wahl, John Kepperley, <br />Barbara Brown, Faye Curry <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mrs. Brown moved, seconded by Mr. Wahl, to approve the minutes of September 2, 2009, which <br />were approved, 6-0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Holidav Lighting Contest 2009 <br />Mr. Wahl submitted revised contest rules for review. One of the changes is for applications to be <br />submitted with at least two photographs. Mr. Kepperley and Mr. Wahl request the City supply <br />both the engraved ornaments and certificates for this year's contest. The Cultural Activities <br />Commission will solicit additional prizes from local businesses. <br />Mr. Kepperley moved, seconded by Mr. Yustick to approve the changes to the contest rules <br />as submitted by Mr. Wahl, which was unanimously approved. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Christmas Festival at Old Town Hall <br />Mr. Kepperley and Mr. Wahl will secure live music for December 29. The possibility of <br />scheduling for one night instead of two was discussed. Due to her busy schedule and the <br />minimal interest in 2008 Mrs. Martindale will not produce a puppet show this year. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Dover Plavers Undate <br />Ms. Martindale reported Artful Murder will be performed on October 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 and <br />November 6, 7, and 8. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Commission members each received an updated Boards and Commissions Roster
