CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />"TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE" <br />BOAItD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MIPTUTES - iVIAItCH 2, 2000 <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Gomersall called the meeting to order at 7:30pm. <br />PRESENT: Chainnan R. Gomersall, Board Members T. Koberna, J. Konold, W. <br />Kremzar, and J. Maloney. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner Dave Conway, <br />and Asst. Clerk of Cominissions K. Fallon. <br />Chairman Gomersall advised that each case would be judged on the physical sitLiation <br />peculiar to itself, so that in no way is a judgement rendered considered to be a general <br />policy judgement affecting properties and like situations elsewhere. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: The Board of Zoning and Appeals <br />minutes of February 3, 2000 have been submitted for review. <br />Chairman Gomersall indicated that since the Board hadn't received the minutes of <br />February 3, 2000, the Board would delay the approving until the neit meeting. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1: ICen Smith of 27901 North Park Drive. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Proposal consists of a first floor addition. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />A 3 foot variance for rear yard depth, (code requires SOft, applicant shows 47 ft). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, (1135.08 A). <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties forward and reviewed the variance <br />requested. Mr. Smith came forward to review the request. Chairman Gomersall <br />questioned if there were a,ny questions from the Board or audience members. No <br />further comments were made. <br />J. Konold motioned to grant Ken Smith of 27901 Norkh Park Drive the request for <br />variance (1123.12), which consists of a first floor addition and the following variance is <br />requested: A 3 foot variance for rear yard depth, (code requires SOft, applicant shows <br />47 ft). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, (1135.08 A). The motion was <br />seconded by T. Koberna and unauimously approved. Variance Granted. <br />2. Norm Althen, Jr.; 3457 Walter Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of a new home. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />A 2-foot variance for rear yard setback. (Code requires 50 ft., applicant shows 48 ft.) <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section 1135.08.
