PLANNING COMMISSION INIDEX 2000 <br />JANUARY 11, 2000 <br />North Olmsted United Methodist Church; 4600 Dover Center Rd. <br />Proposal consists of a 2560 square foot addition being added to the rear of the existing <br />building. With the following recommendations, the light pole be plotted on the site plans to <br />show exactly where it will be located. The board would like die forester to review the site <br />and contact Mrs. Joslyn with his findings as well as the applicant. The retention will also be <br />submitted to the Engineering department. The proposal will go to the Architectural Review <br />Board and not be required to return unless the Arclutectural Review Board requires major <br />changes. The motion was seconded by K. O'Rourke and unanimously approved. Motion <br />Carried. 1/11/00 <br />Columbia Road Baptist Church 4116 Columbia Rd. <br />Proposal consists of adding a fellowship hall to the existing church. Note: The Planning <br />Commission addressed this proposal on the following dates, 1/12/99 and 9/14/99. The Board <br />of Zoning Appeals board granted them a special pernut on 10/7/99. The board would like the <br />Architectural Review Board to review the proposal and will not return unless the <br />Arclutectural Review Board requires major changes. The motion was seconded by W. <br />Spalding and unanimously approved. Motion Carried. 1/11/00 <br />Chi Chi's Restaurant 26410 Great Northern Shopping Center <br />Proposal consists of remodeling the existing entrance, repainting the entire building and <br />planters below shutters. Mr. Koeth indicated that the applicants would need to return to the <br />Planning Commission before moving on to the Board of Zoning Appeals. The clerk <br />indicated that the applicants could return to Planning Commission on January 25, 2000 if <br />they submitted their proposal by January 21, 2000. No further comments were made. <br />1/11/00 <br />Dick's Sporting Goods / Cort Furniture 4700 Great Northern Blvd. <br />Proposal consists of renovating the former Giant Eagle building on Great Northern Blvd to <br />accommodate Dick's Sporting Goods store and Cort Furniture. The Commission would like <br />to have Arclutectural Review Board review the proposal as well as Board of Zoning Appeals. <br />The Commission request that the rear lights shine down to make sure it does not disturb the <br />neighbors. The proposal will not have to return unless Architectural Review Board requires <br />major changes. The motion was seconded by K. O'Rourke and unanimously approved. <br />Motion Carried. The clerk announced the dates of the Arclutectural Review Board and <br />Board of Zoning Appeals meetings. Mr. Schill questioned if they would have to wait until <br />the sign package was approved by the Board of Zoning Appeals to go to the Board of Zoning <br />and Development. The clerk indicated that the Board of Zoning and Development could <br />review the proposal prior to the sign package being approved. She reviewed that once a date <br />was set for the Board of Zoning and Development she would notify the applicant. 1/11/00 <br />Eric & Luane Ford Lot Split: <br />The proposal is to re-align the rear portion of permanent parcel Numbers, 235-06-019 and <br />235-06-020 while maintaining flie existing frontage of each parcel. Location is the East Side <br />of Kennedy Ridge Road north of Butternut Ridge Road. Zoning is A-Residence, Single <br />Entirely, and the proposal conforms to requirements of the Zoning Code for lot frontage and <br />area.
