CI'I'Y OF NORTFI OLIVISTED <br />"TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE" <br />ARCI3ITECTiJRAL REVIEW BOAItD <br />IVIINIUTES - NOVEMBER 15, 2000 <br />CONFERENCE ROOM - 5:30 P.M. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman, Zergott called the meeting to order at 5:38pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman Zergott, Board members; M. Yager and T. Liggett. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Assistant Building Commissioner, T. Rymarczyk, and Assistant Clerk of <br />Commissions, S. Solomon. <br />ABSENT: Board member; K_ Schultz. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MIN-UTES: The Architectural Review Board minutes for <br />June 21, 2000 and October 18, 2000 have been submitted for approval. <br />Chairman Zergott questioned if there were any corrections or additions to the June 21, 2000 <br />ininutes. <br />M. Yager motioned to approve the minutes as written. The motion was seconded by T. Liggett <br />and unanimously approved. <br />Chairman Zergott questioned if there were any corrections of additions to the October 18, 2000 <br />minutes. <br />M. Yager inotioned to approve the minutes as written. The motion was seconded by B. Zergott. <br />T. Liggett abstained his vote as per he was not present at the meeting. Approved. <br />III. SIGNS: No Items. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />1. Developers Diversified Realty (Babies R US)26520 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal consists of adding 4,500 square foot building as well as parking and landscaping to the <br />front portion of land on the Babies R Us site. Note: Planning Coirunission reviewed this proposal <br />at their 9/12/00 ineeting. Architectural Review Board reviewed this proposal at the 9/20/00 and <br />10/18/00 meeting. <br />Chairinan Zergott called all interested parties forward to review the request. Norm Elbin, <br />representing Developers Diversified and Dave Ports, the architect, came forward. Mr. Elbin <br />coirunented that they are back, once again, to present the proposed expansion of the Babies R Us <br />building and the smaller proposed out parcel on the same site. Mr. Yager replied that they are <br />really only here for the out parcel because the addition to Babies R IJs was approved at the last <br />meeting. Mr. Zergott commented that they did have questions about the fence. Mr. Elbin replied <br />that they are leaving that up to the Forester. Mr. Zergott commented that in his discussion with <br />the Forester he inentioned that the fence is really starting to go as far as the posts are concerned. <br />He suggested replacing it now with a board on board rather than waiting a couple of years and <br />having to do it anyway. He doesn't feel any trees will be damaged, if there are any that get in the <br />way they will just be seedlings or saplings that are wild. He would also like them to zig-zag <br />around any major trees. Mr. Ports indicated that they would put the fence in the same spot. Mr. <br />Zergott indicated that was correct. There is one section the kids keep destroying to cut through,
