ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Lord called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman B. Lord, M. Davis, G. Corell, P. Barker, K. O'Rourke and L. VanAuken. <br />ABSENT: A. Smeraldi, C. Kasler, and D. Lind. <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MIN-[ITES: <br />The Landmarks Commission minutes of the October 8, 2001 meeting have been submitted for <br />approval. <br />G. Corell motioned to accept the Landmarks minutes dated October 8, 2001 as corrected. The <br />motion was seconded by L. VanAuken and unanimously approved. <br />III. NEW BUSINESS: <br />Charles & Catherine Heaton26405 Butternut Ridge Rd_ <br />Proposal consists of addition to second floor. A 900 sq. ft. renovation to second floor, dormer <br />addition for master bedroom, bathroom, study, and studio. <br />Chairman Lord indicated that the Heatons were present on August 13, 2001 when.they gave a <br />preliminary run through of what their plans for their home. The drawings are exactly as they <br />were, except for the size of one of the windows is smaller than originally asked for. Mrs. Lord <br />inquired if the board needed any more review or had further questions for the applicants. Mrs. <br />VanAuken commented that she thought this proposal is great, it is well planned and <br />professionally presented. NIrs. Davis questioned why the one window is smaller. Mr. Was, the <br />architect, indicated that they changed the stairway to make it bigger, which raised the landing, <br />which reduced the height the home. That is why the window is smaller. Mrs. Lord questioned if <br />the stairway is going back to the original location. Mr. Was replied correct. <br />M. Davis motioned to grant a certificate of appropriateness to Charles & Catherine Heaton of <br />26405 Butternut Ridge Rd. which consists of an addition to the second floor. A 900 sq. ft. <br />renovation to second floor, dormer addition for master bedroom, bathroom, study, and studio. <br />The motion was secorided by G. Corell and was unanimously approved. Granted 11-12-01. <br />Mr. Barker thanked Mr. Was and the Heatons for including Landmarks before they even bought <br />the property. Coming back to Landmarks after they bought the property with very detailed <br />plans, they made the commissions' job easier and he hopes they sail smoothly before the other <br />boards and commissions if they have to go through them.
