" <br />CULTURAL ACTIVITIES COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - MAY 1, 2002 <br />IN OLD TOWN HALL <br />7:00 P.M. <br />Note: The following minutes are written from notes taken by Mrs. Beach. <br />I. ROLL CALL: Chairman Raig called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Chairman Raig, Board members, B. App, L. Beach, R. Garland, G. Thompson and B. <br />Martindale. <br />ABSENT: Board member; C. Kilbane, <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />III. NEW BUSINESS: <br />• Chairman Raig submitted a proposal for the new Library to accommodate Cultural Arts. The <br />commission approved the proposal which will be sent to the Mayor and presented to the Library <br />forurn, Monday, May 6, 2002. <br />• Comrnission began to create a matrix listing all the possible locations for a Cultural Arts Center <br />and rating criteria for comparison. <br />Locations: Town Hall <br />New Library <br />Old Library <br />Middle School Auditorium <br />High School Auditorium <br />Graves Music <br />Springvale <br />Recreation Center <br />• Mrs. App agreed to create the matrix. <br />submitted to the Mayor and Council. <br />Once the commission has completed the matrix it will be <br />• The board began a list of programming events they would like to see supported by the <br />cornmission. <br />V.
