ROLL CALL: Vice Chairman Corell called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Vice Chairman Corell, and Board Members, J. Lang, P. Barker, T. Dubowski, M. Davis, <br />J. Dailey, L. VanAuken, and K. O'Rourke <br />ABSENT: Chairman B. Lord <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: The Landmarks Commission minutes from the <br />July 8, 2002 meeting have been submitted for approval. <br />P. Barker made a motion to approve the minutes as submitted. The motion was seconded by M. Davis <br />and unanimously approved. <br />III. NEW BUSINESS: <br />? Certificate of Appropriateness for Dave Bachouros, 25455 Butternut Ridge Road. Proposal <br />consists of changing roof color. <br />Mrs. Bachouros addressed the board and indicated they would like to change the color of their roof <br />from grayish white, to black. She pointed out there are stains on the roof and there are currently two <br />roofs on the house. They would remove both of the roofs. She showed the board some photos along <br />with a shingle sample. Mr. Corell asked if she knew when the house was .built. Mrs. Bachouros <br />indicated it was built in the 1950's. Mr. Corell asked if she knew the color of the roof underneath. <br />She said she was not certain but assumed it is the same color as the outer roof. She added she is on <br />the south side of the street, across from the cemetery. Mr. Barker asked for confirmation that the old <br />roofs would be totally removed. Mrs. Bachouros indicated they will be. <br />J. Lang inade a motion to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for Dave Bachouros, 25455 Butternut <br />Ridge Road, to re-roof with a complete tear-off and new roof of black asphalt shingles as requested. <br />The motion was seconded by M. Davis and unanimously approved. <br />? Certificate of Appropriateness for Patrick Barber, 27106 Butternut Ridge Road. Proposal consists <br />of placing vinyl siding on garage. <br />Mr. Barber indicated his house is already vinyl sided and the garage behind the house needs to be <br />sided. He wants to match the house and the garage. Mr. Corell asked if the boarding will be the same <br />width. Mr. Barber said it is the same material, color, and size. Mr. Barker asked if the siding had <br />already been purchased. He wants to be certain the siding can be matched. Mr. Barber indicated it is <br />standard siding that will match. Mr. Corell mentioned he is familiar with the house. <br />M. Davis made a motion to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness to Patrick Barber, 27106 Butternut <br />Ridge, to vinyl side detached garage with white siding to match house with attached garage per <br />request. The motion was seconded by P. Barker and unanimously approved. <br />? Certificate of Appropriateness for Frances Heil, 25427 Butternut Ridge Road. Proposal consists <br />of changing driveway material.
