BUILI)ING fl)EPAR'I'ME1VT IgEQUES'I'S:
Daiiiel E I!'Iai•gulies (Pepuer ,Toe's Restaurant); 24532 Lorain Itoast:
Proposal consists of interior renovation for restaurant including new handicapped ramp, canvas
canopy, railings, signage, etc. Note: Variances will be required as well as easement agreement
& lot consolidation.
Chairman Koeth called all interested parties forward to review the proposal. Mr. Margulies the
Designer, Mr. Milloy the Architect and Mr. George the Owner were present to review the
proposal.
Applicants pi-esentataon:
1VIr. Mao•gulies reviewed that the proposal was returning to the Planning Commission, as they
now require variances. They have met with the Architectural Review Board twice and have
made many changes, which now require variances. He further reviewed that because the
Buckeye Bowling alley has more than one owner and is tied to the Fairview Park bowling
lanes it would not be possible to receive an easement. However, Buckeye Lanes has assured
thein that they had no objections to them using their site. There will be no parking variances
required. However, a buffering issue requires a variance. 1VIr. IVIargulies indicated that the
rear area of the site is the reason the buffer variance is required. Mr: George voiced that the
buffer variance is required because a large truck would not be able to turnaround. They
thought they had enough room, buf if an emergency truck went in the back of the site, he
would not want it to be stuck back there. A car can back in and maneuver in the space more
fi-e?ly. The bowling alley is a conglomerate and to produce an easement is a legal hassle, so
they voiced that they could use their site, but without an easement.
