Upcoming
events include the State Hockey Pee Wee Championship. It will be held at the Recreation
Center on March 11, 12 and 13, 1999. On March 20, 1999 there will be a late nite party benefit
for deceased patrolman Monty Plocica. On March 21, 1999 the Easter Open House will be held.
There will be free skating and swimming as well as games, costume characters and a free pizza
give away.

Spring Hockey Leagues have moved up from 58 to 64 teams but there still is a 10-12 team loss
from last year. The compressor problems from Mid-March, through May resulting in wet ice is a
contributing factor of the loss of teams. We have competition from other conveniently located
facilities.
