<br />NORTH OLMSTED PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> <br />MARCH 18, 2002 <br /> <br />Meeting called to order: 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br />In Attendance: Michael Gareau, Jr., Councilman <br />Randi Jones, Member <br />Bill Kelley, Member <br />Axel Hoyer, Member <br />Todd Morgan, Commissioner <br /> <br />Absent: Claire Hayes, Chairman <br />Sandy Sorge, Member <br />Lisa Thomas, Safety Director <br /> <br /> <br />Visitors: Linda Powell, Tennis Patron <br /> Cheryl Steele, Tennis Patron <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting called to order and roll-call taken. A motion to approve the minutes from February was <br />made by Michael, with a second by Bill. Roll-call; all in favor; motion passed. No corrections. It <br />was requested by visitor, Linda Powell to amend the minutes to include herself and Sue Marella as <br />visitors in attendance at the February meeting. So noted; minutes amended. <br /> <br />REPORT BY COMMISSIONER <br /> <br />Todd addresses Michael’s questions regarding cheaper signs for Lorain Road and Zamboni garage <br />door quotation. Todd presented information and prices concerning alternative signs for Lorain <br />Road and noted that the Zamboni garage door was not $20,000 as noted in the budget, but rather <br />it is $3000. <br /> <br />Packet information was reviewed briefly, along with the revenue reports. No questions or <br />concerns were raised. <br /> <br />The sub-committee comprised of Sandy Sorge, Randi Jones, Bill Kelley and Duane Limpert met <br />with Todd to discuss fees. The committee reviewed tennis fees only at this time. It was <br />suggested by Sandy Sorge that the Commission utilize this meeting as a work session to <br />determine the remaining fees. Todd presented the tennis fees as determined during the sub- <br />committee session. <br /> <br />At this time, Todd introduced Jason Frolo, Program Supervisor, who was in attendance to <br />address the Commission with the status of the Recreation Programming. <br /> <br />REPORT BY JASON FROLO, PROGRAM SUPERVISOR (general outline of discussion) <br />? <br /> <br />Fall/winter program evaluations are in; have received much positive feedback <br />? <br /> <br />Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:15-9:15 p.m. at the Middle School we have held the <br />Men’s Basketball League; this program has typically been well-received, as it was again this <br /> <br />
